Bill Paxton R.I.P.

Bill Paxton Dead at 61 Due to Complications from Surgery:

"Actor Bill Paxton died due to complications from surgery, PEOPLE confirms.

“It is with heavy hearts we share the news that Bill Paxton has passed away due to
complications from surgery,” a family representative said in a statement. “A loving husband
and father, Bill began his career in Hollywood working on films in the art department and
went on to have an illustrious career spanning four decades as a beloved and prolific actor
and filmmaker. Bill’s passion for the arts was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth and
tireless energy were undeniable. We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as
they mourn the loss of their adored husband and father.”

The Texas native, who was nominated for an Emmy for his work in the TV mini-series
Hatfields and McCoys, began acting in the 1970s. His earliest acting credits include minor
roles in blockbusters such as Terminator (1984) and Aliens (1986)."

RIP.

He really was the go-to guy for James Cameron, and I enjoyed so many of his performances. My favorite performance of his was in Twister (1995), so much that real-life storm chasers paid tribute to him when the news came out.

RIP. He was one of the primary sources of enjoyment in his movies, and in some cases, his performance were the only joy in the movies for me. I'm going to miss him. Too soon, man. Too soon.

Aw, man. This one definitely hits closer to home alongside Leonard Nimoy and others among my favorite actors. I also enjoyed his presence in movies that he wasn't even a lead in. Aliens, True Lies, even U-571 he did good in for his short appearance and role. And his role as the main bad of Agents of SHIELD S1 definitely made that so enjoyable. He will be missed. . RIP.
