As you can see in the post above mine, a second TV series has been confirmed long ago. In fact, together with the announcement of a movie.

sadly its releasedate is as much of a mystery as that of the Movie's BD and DvD

Seems like the movie will re-screening at GV PS for 2 days (20 & 21 May), whose missed the movie last time can check it out....

Somehow missed this over the weekend. The BDs/DVDs are slated for a 30th August release.

EDIT: Aside from versions like the Amazon limited, the movie is coming in two editions. Regular and Limited (with the limited about twice the price). Limited of course includes a couple of additional goodies, but the main difference from what I get is that the limited edition includes the "Type 17" disc as opposed to the "Type 16" theatre release. The "Type 17" is from what I get a re-edited version including new scenes.

Limited versions are always produced in lower quantity for sake of collection and logistics. Amazon version is simply the limited version with some extra that are exclusive to Amazon, that's all.

Yes, the Amazon Limited version is simply the limited version plus a 130x70 bath towel with the four Kongō as illustration plus a a little resupply drum.

Release date is this coming Wednesday. Amazon lists the expected delivery date as between 2nd and 4th September. I hope they'll make it on Saturday the 2nd.

I assume you mean the Japanese Amazon? Because I can neither find it on the German nor the UK one. :/

That being said, I hope they'll sell the blue disk separately at some point

This isn't supposed to be an international release, so of course it isn't listed in a non JP amazon branch. There might be later if a shop sell it as an import product, which will probably has its price inflated as result.

Is it known whether there are english subtitles?

Issue for me is:
Last time I bought an import product our dear austrian customs office had the glorious idea of asking for customs, despite it having been sent from within the EU(UK -> Austria to be specific) ...
If they do that, they include the shipping cost when calculating whether customs apply. So in the end I might end up saving money by checking if Amazon would ship it to here.

Alternatively I could buy a month of Amazon.jp Prime,hope the Blue Disk is on prime too, and that there are no regional restrictions...
Tbh I actually only want the version with the additional scenes - no need for the goodies.

This is the limited edition, haven't looked but there must be a regular edition too who only has the movie.

The series of Kancolle was licensed by Funimation so probably we will get an international release of the movie too but as now haven't seen any news about that yet.
