Wha...? People are actually having waifu wars over this mediocre harem story which its only saving grace is having quintuplets as harem members instead of separate girls?
Anime-only here. So my impression is only from anime S1. The story & characters are really nothing special. Why people are fighting for these girls is beyond me.

I don't know if I should be happy or sad hearing that. I mean, knowing that any anime will have its audience (& fans?) no matter what the quality is kinda makes me both happy and sad at the same time .

Well they twist of this anime is that it give all girl a an impression of equal ground to fight. Which unlike others harem anime which usually really on newcomers (transfer student) and establish one (childhood friend).
Otherwise, people just watch it for waifu.

Personally, also anime-only here, I think the girls are all fairly likeable (even Nino in her nicer moments) and fleshed out well enough to make them easy enough to root for, Futaro is a fun protagonist, and the relationship development between him and the sisters is handled fairly well. And, of course, the girls all have well-developed bodies so there's the obvious fanservice angle . Of course your mileage may vary. I've watched a lot of Harem anime and I'd actually put Quintuplets fairly high up there in terms of execution/enjoyment, personally, but to each their own .

...Also, give the staff more budget. The first season was... Umm... Well, the Shaft episode looked good at least...?

Or if anyone knew how to properly read you would see that it's a post criticising the horrible handling of the content (and characters) that will be covered in this second season. But I guess reading comprehension is hard for some of you and it's just better and easier to quantify something as "waifu wars".

I got tired saying that it is not the matter of budget but the matter of resources. Tezuka Pro is not a big studio and they probably put their main staff on Dororo despite doing it with MAPPA. If they have no other projects planned on the same time as S2, the quality should be better.

Anyways, there is no point in playing with words, so we will see. We will see. I can get a laugh either way, so I'm fine however it turns out. The only times limited budgets or whatever annoy me is when they delay an entire episode by a week or more.
