I liked the first chapter but I'm afraid, if this is going to be him trying to save the girl but in the end he won't be with her then I don't want to waste time, I dropped erased for this reason but it seems there is not spoilers out there D:

The animation and the character design are almost as bad as the main character's memory. How did he forget he was bullied for close to two years, instead thinking of that time as the peak of his life?
Rather than Erased: delinquent edition, it feels more like a discount version of it.

Much more so than Erased, this reminds me a lot of A Distant Neighborhood (both would be quite flattering). Even if the production values aren't exceptional I totally bought into the writing. Very strong premiere IMO.

I think the similarities with Erased (and even A Distant Neighborhood especially) is only on the surface level of its time travel plot. Overall, while Tokyo Revengers is a decent series, it does take itself really seriously given the ages of majority of the cast. The characters and plot progression can be unrealistic, if you can suspend your disbelief, this can be an ok series.

So far it strikes me as Erased if it were a battle shonen/gang story .
You can act tough and think your hot @#$%, but when your kids you're still liable to get picked on and get the snot kicked out of you by older kids . Takemichi was so traumatized from what he experienced with the Tokyo Manji Gang that he left his friends and middle school life behind...did that include Hinata? Was he so desperate to move past that experience that he left her too? Or did they break up for another reason ? When you end up saving and bonding with your your girlfriends little brother without even knowing it . So Takemichi can change the future, he managed to save Naoto, but it seems like it's trickier to save Hinata. Will he have to try and take down the Tokyo Manji Gang from within during the past, with advice from Naoto? Although then I suspect that the cause of Hinata's death will probably change . Although the Opening makes it look like we'll be seeing adult Hinata at some point, so maybe eventually Takemichi changes the future enough to where they're still together in the present-day or he gets to see her? Or maybe a flashback to what happened to her .
