Note: Please don't use this for the specifics (i.e. episode, chapter, game, etc. discussion) there are other threads for that stuff.

So we can't say "Die Shiroe!" for stealing our Akatsuki?
Anyway jokes aside, let's have a brief analysis of this character so far.

One complaint I'd read is how she's literally a one dimensional waifu-material. Granted the author's way of writing is like creating a symphony instead of several solo pieces, but I can see why in some way her characterisation can irks off some people.

So let's see what we know of her so far:
1). She's the best girl
2). She's a devoted RPer and a brilliant ninja
2a). She's devoted to Shiroe, addressing him constantly with the honorifics
2b). She wishes to have better teamwork with Shiroe
3). Source of physical gag humour by kneeing Naotsugu as the tsukkomi
4). Loli body
5). She's the best girl

Now I'm not too sure how much more developments she will get considering her roles has been established at the moment, and I doubt the author is the type to dwell on only a few characters instead of creating a colour cast. Does she need more depth? or do you think what we know from her so far is enough to create sufficient interesting interactions with other characters? Again, this "problem" is not just affecting only her, but as the poster girl starring in the ED, can some part of the audience expect too much from her?

I'm not too sure where I'm going with this, but just want to kickstart something :P

And I can agree with that assessment on her character, so far at least.

Btw, I've been wondering whether she'd always been this devoted to her Role Play. IIRC, Shiroe only mentioned her background as "the silent yet reliable partner" back before the apocalypse, and as far as role-playing goes, that's pretty normal even among most normal players irl afaik. My point is whether she's using Role Play to mask her fears and doubts.

Speaking of fear and doubt, though this isn't limited to Akatsuki. A lot of the cast seems like they aren't missing or worried about their families too much.

I wouldnt be surprised to know if akatsuki lived in a high class traditional japanese family. Other than that i kind of want to see an embarrassed akatsuki i bet that would be cute.

She reminds me a lot of Morgiana from Magi. But i want to know what Akatsuki would be like if she wasn't roleplaying. Probably similar, but i like to imagine her with a completely different personality. I think it would be cute if Shiroe caught her out of character, only to have Akatsuki get really embarrassed and apologize multiple times. Or even better, if Naotsugu caught her (best ship ever).

It's semantics, but loli can be described by their physique rather than age. Otherwise some 800 years old lolis lose their status as lolis.

I think the term referring to someone old that has young/loli body is legal jailbait, right?

Anyway, back slightly on topic, I found it very interesting that people keep discussing Akatsuki's roleplaying, but, almost no mention of,imo, Nyanta's more hardcore rp

That is largely irrelevant. The way I see it, Akatsuki is the more popular one since most of the discussion about rp were focused on her

However, her characterization sort of suffers compared to her "rivals" (they're both in the top 10 too), as she plays her "loyal ninja" role TOO well.

Your right. I just notice that they are all in the top 10. Many people really like Akatsuki. I also like her character but as a romantic partner? No.

I cant help but notice that naotsugu isnt in the top 10 despite him being one of the original MCs.

I think akatsuki would be a good romantic partner if she tries a different route, not the master/servent one.

What is akatsuki's build? Shiroe's is mana builder and i'm guessing naotsugu's is a standard tank build.

Given how she's really into her Ninja RP, and she actually took Tracker as a subclass, seems like, hmm, Stealth DPS?

is there enough information to really describe a "build"? If anything i would say its burst damage, if she doesn't take someone out in the first few seconds then she retreats.
