I don't know if I might make it. The drama from the first cour felt kinda exaggerated like when for a scene the Devil entered into depression for apparently losing the girl only for her to return in the same scene without any emotional payoff which felt out of character considering he loves her.

Chi is nothing if not passionate, but it takes a lot to make it to the 2nd floor of the new, refurbished, MgRonald's .
Maou the Barista? Though it seems like Ms. Kisaki has aspirations beyond her current job managing their MgRonald's . Chiho's training and Girl Talk is all well and good but the real eyecatcher is Chiho in those tight fitting PJ's ! I guess there's a lot to be said for ones' daily life and what it means to just live, even if things don't stay the same...not that Urushihara does much living himself, layabout that he is . Well, Sariel's slimmed down! If only because Kisaki shunning him basically mentally broke him, but still . Emi loses it at Maou because she's not sure how to feel about him any more. He's not responsible for her fathers' death which was the main reason she still hated him or couldn't accept him, and she's caught up in so many mixed emotions about her purpose or how she really feels when it comes to Maou. Even his attempts to play the bad guy for her sake isn't very effective because she knows he's better than that and the real reason he became the Demon Lord. Not for the sake of evil but for the sake of recognition . Surprise Tomokazu Sugita! Trying to drag Maou back to Ente Isla for the umpteenth time, though getting sidetracked by fundonshi, Chiho popping in, and Maou wanting none of that. Though he does now have a source to gain his power again, so I'm sure he'll end up using that . So the child samurai is Erone, another piece of the Qliphoth like Alas Ramus? The plot thickens . It wouldn't be The Devil is a Part-Timer without a Chiho-focused ED! And this one is definitely on the cute side with Chiho's morning routine and fashion show as she gets ready for a date with her beloved Maou. Chiho looks good in anything, but her date outfit at the end was quite nice .

I love how everyone recognizes the possibility of Chiho getting kidnapped for the umpteenth time is pretty high at this point .
Did Ashiya just straight up give everyone but Maou hot tea to mess with them? And Suzuno just drank it like it was no problem whatsoever . I guess Sariel's part of the team now, more or less? Especially with Chiho promising to improve things between him and Kisaki if he helps train her. Always nice to hear Nao Toyama's singing! Just don't have this girl send a telepathic message when you bring up the possibility of her marrying Maou . Wow, Chiho didn't even need to do anything! Kisaki lets Sariel visit MgRonalds again just like that! I guess her pride as a manager won't allow her to let Sariel being depressed get in the way of him as a business rival. She also has some wise words to say about dreams and how you need to take those first steps towards reaching them...even if it means becoming a barista . Erone visits Maou! And learns that even a lecture on fast food service is another step in world domination . Welp, Chiho got kidnapped! Although she went along more willingly this time. And she's so used to it that her only reaction to Farfarello in his demon form is the fact that he's at least wearing underwear! Of course for her this is just an opportunity to learn about Maou, why there was conflict between humans and demons in Ente Isla, and what she can do to make a world where Maou and Emi don't need to fight a reality . Quite the surreal sight to have two ladies carrying you, huh Maou? Also said ladies bestow their Celestial Force to induce your first transformation of the season, and get recruited to join your Four (five? six) Generals just like that, including the Hero herself! Not that she cares for the sudden job change . Well, Farfarello is satisfied that Maou has new ideas for world domination (money will solve everything?) and has managed to recruit the most unlikely of subjects into his army, while also providing Emi a reason to keep going by watching over him and seeing the new world he will create with her by his side...which sounds like a proposal. Watch out for jealous Chi ! If angels aren't divine beings and are just humans with divine power, what does that make demons ?

Nothing says co-parenting like fighting over which parent the child is going to sleep with and how! Though at least Emi was able to give in enough to help the guys buy a futon for Alas Ramus to sleep in. It's not like Urushihara needs the entire closet anyways .
Any Rika screentime is good screentime! I love how she's such a supportive friend for Emi. And Ashiya even called her! She was so happy she was delirious at work ! Maou and Emi just can't help the married couple vibes between them whenever they're out with Alas Ramus. It's enough to make Emi shut down every time she realizes she's basically becoming Maou's wife, though they do look very cute together and like true parents . Would it be so bad if Maou and Emi could just forget about being Satan and Emilia and just be normal people in Japan living their normal lives with their daughter Alas Ramus? Especially when they can enjoy such a pleasant afternoon in the park ? Man, Maou really is the complete attentive/supportive husband/father package. It's worth letting him sleep on your shoulder during the train ride back if you ask me, Emi . Have to admire how Ashiya is willing to sleep at an internet cafe and even in the park for the sake of his Lord spending the night with his daughter. Urushihara just makes it complicated . Of course Chiho had to catch them getting back and completely shuts down at realizing what they were doing. And not even she thinks she can really defeat the MaouxEmi ship if it actually happens . They really just had Suzuno's breakdown over spilling curry on her favorite kimono playing out in the credits like it's a dramatic story point . When there's trouble in the relationship, sometimes a wife's just gotta move back in with her parents for a bit. Well, Emi can't really do that, but maybe going home will help set her mind straight on how she really feels about Maou now .

It's nice to see everybody sitting around the table and eating like it's perfectly normal. Sure there's bickering, sniping, and the usual sass (especially towards Ashiya), but they all really feel like one big family. Which just makes it a bit more of a bummer that Emi is going to be leaving for Ente Isla .
I totally get how she might want to go home and get back to basics to take stock of how much her life has changed (and how she really feels about it), though it seems like she also wants to search for more clues regarding her mother than just take a break. But it's not like anything can beat the Hero Emilia, so it's not like she'll be stuck there with Alas Ramus. Right? Right !? The Devil will drive a moped! Not only is he having shift manager duties more and more but if he'll pinch-hit for deliveries he's probably a shoo-in for a promotion at some point ! And....Emi never came back. Everybody expects Maou to do the main character thing and go after her and find her, but he doesn't think it's his problem this time. Even though Chiho comes in and guilt-trips him with his responsibility towards Emi AND Alas Ramus . What could be holding Emi back in Ente Isla? She's too powerful to be easily defeated, it seems like humans are just fighting themselves, so what could be happening? Them holding someone hostage that could be used against her? Though it's nice to see Maou's two generals giving him sound and reasonable advice together. Especially Urushihara . The crazy things that happen when you take the bus, like having some cute and quirky girl sniffing you up while on a trip with your dad. Except she's probably more than just some quirky girl given Tsubasa is in the OP with Alas Ramus, has strong anime hair game, and her "dad" looks like he's also Emi's dad . I was expecting to get some RikaxAshiya one-on-one time but it's nice that Rika is genuinely worried about Emi and is trying to figure out what happened, and she brings another clue as she was the last person Emi talked to when she was in Ente Isla . Chiho in danger for the umpteenth time? I guess they knew what they were doing with the Idea Link SOS system. And I guess they're throwing caution to the wind and just outright exposing everything to Rika now. They couldn't have just left the apartment and jumped from somewhere else? And they left Ashiya to have to explain everything. This should be good .

I guess nothing sums this show up quite as well as a giant monstrous demon prowling Chiho's school while Maou is stuck waiting to get his bike license .
Well, something seemed off about "Tsubasa," and I'm not just talking about her licking Maou's hand. She's actually Alas Ramus' younger sibling (yesod fragments work differently)! And with that revelation comes the reveal that her dad is none other than Emi's dad ! Nice to hear the Ente Isla language again after so long . Chiho can try and make polite conversation as much as she likes, but Licicoco isn't here for it or her continued mispronunciation of his name. At least that bought her some time and the audience some adorable Chiho noises . Well, Ashiya's not going to get out of this without a proper explanation to Rika, especially when random flying people show up outside their window with Emi's dad in tow. He really thought he could just blame it on an energy drink . I guess calling them "aliens" isn't inaccurate...though it does lead Rika to basically call out this shows' entire premise . Wait, there are forces from the human side of Ente Isla there? For Ashiya!? This was all a distraction !?
