Ao no Orchestra (Blue Orchestra)

Manga 'Ao no Orchestra' is getting an anime adaptation.

Synopsis

Quote:
Aono Hajime was a prodigy violinist until he grew jaded with playing the violin due to personal reasons. Now in his third year of middle school, he struggles to decide his academic path. One day in school, he meets Akine Ritsuko, a hotheaded novice violinist who wants to enroll in a high school with a distinguished orchestra club. When he finds himself getting closer to Ritsuko and being brought back to the world of violinists, time starts moving again for him.

This is the beginning of a youthful drama where sounds and hearts alike resound in harmony.

Seeing the low popularity of Mashiro no Oto and Kono Oto Tomare adaptations in the anime audience, I don't really see what's the reason for adapting this.

Good for the fans anyways, it's always nice to have more variety apart of isekai/romcom/battle shonen.

Has a skin of a music show, but the core content are about juveniles growing up.

Shigatsu with its cast of sociopaths trying to existentially murder the protagonist has scarred me where this sort of premise is concerned…

So... errr... It seems that John Williams is somehow involved in musical side of this:

First episode aired but looks like the only way to enjoy this is to learn Japanese, French (there are French subs) or hope that there will be English fansubs.

Didn't take long but there are no multiple different fansubs out of the first episode. I really enjoyed this one not going to lie based on the opening I thought this was going some sort of string quintet club instead of a full blown orchestra but nope, it's going to be a full blown orchestra.
I'm guessing the actual orchestra club is in the high school while the current middle school episodes are a bit of prologue to introduce a bunch of characters?

it was a good start, I always have a soft spot for music anime but I just hope they don't add to much drama or romance and focus on the music side... but the thing with the father is just whisful thinking.

There will be a lot if juveniles growing up story here and there. Like the father thing and the disagreement inside the music club etc.
Music and drama ratio felt 50-50

The most recent English fansub of those available has decent subs. The fansubber wasn't a fan of the earlier translations.

Quote:
Both the sub options leave a lot to be desired but [redacted] was actually readable English unlike [redacted] that was filled with errors. The timing was still very bad and the last part wasn’t even translated. Fully retimed the script, restyled and added some mediocre typesetting.

It was that simple for aono, just hate your father, don't hate the violin.

Akine has more problems to be honest with the bullying and more frustrating when the teachers knows but they are not doing anything about it. I doubt it the last we get to see and I'm sure they are going to follow akine to highschool.

I'm liking this, the main ship is there but I doubt it will an easy sailing.

Watch the first two episodes. It's pretty nice.

The two main characters are pretty likable so far. The story is decent I guess.

I barely heard anyone talk about this show. It probably due to the lack of official channel to watch.

Probably a factor but even if it got an official release I suspect it would still be flying under the radar like Kono Oto Tomare.
