"anonymize"/mask activities on internet
I am looking for a way to prevent some web sites from recording /monitoring my activities on internet (which sites I have visited and/or not to accept third-party cookies or just delete third-party cookies etc).
Please give your recommendations! Is it possible to get these for free? Do I have to download some software or do I have to go on some websites for surfing others? I really don't mind downloading the software. I guess it's more convenient this way. But any suggestion is welcome. Thank you.

if you are using internet explorer
try using another browser i'm using mozilla firefox at the moment and it works fine. it has a popup killer in it and it's much saver as internet explorer. with internet explorer i always got a problem with strange search thingy's and popup's everywhere. even when i wasn't on the internet i got popups and there was nothing i could do about it. in my opinion ie sucks |

There really is only one way to make yourself completely "anonyme" on the net, and not even that is that 100% sure in trace-routed well enough. By using proxies you can give out false IPs (that are basically the way most sites recognize you if not using cookies -I think more and more sites will be using this in the future). The downside is that your surfing speed is dependable of the proxy, and it is usually a lot worse. Also, finding free proxies that do not forward your IP in any way are a bit hard to find -those with decend speeds, that is.
