Anyway, new rec! 魔拳のデイドリーマー. Can't believe it took me so long to find it, as its pretty good. It's another reincarnation story, but no heroes or demon kings to be found. Just amazingly over the top fights and some comedy. Expect martial arts inspired by games and hong kong movies, and training reminiscent of dbz. MC is a bit of an innocent mad scientist personality, born with a defect in his magic that keeps him from casting magic beyond a foot or so of his body. Not that it holds him back any, since there are ways around that. He otherwise pretty much hit the jackpot.

I think its pretty obvious that Fox will use the original contract skill to restore Lulu, but finally, he comes!!

Only problem is that if he does Lulu will lose her stat growth, which is kind of disappointing. Fox never saw her updated stats before she was injured.

Better than dying by a long shot, but still a setback. Cecil just got a heavy addition to her sentence. Looking forward to it.

nope it's being reduced as you can see by the #+#+# etc (the date) and that only 1 vol is out so that's gone and vol 2 is in progress.

unless the starting chs were really that short.

The #+# chapters don't seem any shorter than they should be, just added together. I don't have the original to compare to though. I've read some of alphapolis' digest versions and they absolutely suck, which I didn't get here.

That shouldn't revert her stats. When he healed Dran's body to before the demon lord mind controlled him, all it did was heal the wounds. He had to revert the state of his mind completely to revert his stats—unless I'm mistaken, I could be. There was also healing Layla after her sudden stat growth after being injured that didn't change a thing.

And it wouldn't be much of a setback. Kitsune could just do his insane stat cheat bullshit if it really bothered her.

I am interested in how he got away from the Apostle, though.

As expected, Lulu loses her stat growth, but she will keep her specific skill at least. Fox is pissed and it triggers some kind of growth(which turns both eyes blue) which he describes as a near omnipotent feeling. Yet another specific skill maybe?

You know, I really envy you guys for having that much time in your life reading all those title.. My time was limited I could only read Arifureta in its designated time release,, don't you guys have a life to live? (Looking at bludvein and omegasereon). Also between Sendai Yuusha, Mushoku Tensei, or the one you currently discussing, which title are more interesting? ( Your personal recommendation please)

It only takes 5-10 minutes to read a chapter. Hardly that much time. You can only spare that once every 3-5 days?

異世界来ちゃったけど帰り道何処？is the best of those 3 imo, but all 3 are worth reading. I'd place Mushoku over Sendai Yuusha though.

@ bludvein : you know I read using GT right? And it takes me around 10 to 15 to understand the big pictures. Around 25 to 40 minutes to understand most of the context. And 2 to 3 hours to translate some parts (and I'm pretty sure I made a mistake somewhere). And most importantly, I'm in the middle of creating my Uni final project. Its been around for 3 months already.. Btw, thanks for the recommendation, I look to it soon..

I'm using GT(and sometimes ATLAS) too. I can understand just fine on the first pass, although I sometimes reread with a different machine just to pick up some of the mistranslated pieces. It's just a matter of experience with its broken english.

I can understand a proper translation taking a couple hours if you're using a dictionary, but I can't picture it taking 40 minutes just to figure out context. GT isn't quite THAT bad.

Yeah, I know GT actually quite nice.. That's why I only use it. Combining a few machine translation only confused me further. Yeah, ithink its the difference in experience, I only use it for 3 month or so. And only use it to read Arifureta.

I sort of mentioned it in the Arifureta thread before, but that was kind of offhand. Story is basically about a student mage forced to relive the same month over and over again Groundhog's Day-style. He sort of starts off as a misanthrope, but he becomes a better person and a kickass mage throughout. My only complaint is its slow release schedule, but its definitely worth a read.

Hey guys, finally decided to get my feet wet after years of peeping through the door.

Damn! The update was just something else, and gotta admit, even though I hate Cecil, she's one deep and calculating b****!!! Use one to destroy the other and bank on the others guilt and fact of the act to prevent either of them reuniting with Fox, two birds with one stone. Can't wait for next update on this front, and from Fox's reaction at the end of second update, can't wait for when they finally meet, especially now that Nagi knows he's in for quite the dive...

- Cecile could've just destroyed the mask, but is planning three steps ahead.
- She makes an analogy of a giant that held a family of three hostage(mum, brother, sister), and promised to release two if one of the siblings would kill the other (A twisted "PRISONER'S DILEMMA" so to say).
- (Something about the mum having a favorite, couldn't make it out well, but I assume it points to a parent having a favorite among their children, who they'd pick if given a choice)
- The brother kills the sister, and as promised, the giant releases the mum and brother, but they can't reunite well because the sin cannot be forgiven(by both, and I think this is where the favorite things comes into play : even if the brother was the favorite, he still can't be forgiven and if not, despite that fact he can't be forgiven)
- This is what Cecile is aiming for, get Finia to kill Lulu/the other way around, same effect as they won't be able to reunite with Fox.
- And on the off-chance one does reunite and live to tell of her ploy to Foxx, she is prepared to shoulder the revenge(having done this alone) as long as it can divert attention from the hero, she is willing.
- She deludes herself that as long as he loses atleast one, the revenge afterwards can be handled...
- Lulu refuses.
- Cecil, having expected atleast such a minor bump, then offers the converse to Finia(all the while talking them down)
- (she is thinking that when they met, Finia seemed to be the main one by Foxx's side, and that she would have guts to kill a former slave for her own cause)
- If she would do this, she could get it done without dirtying her own hands( give the other bird a stone).
- Finia refuses, and Cecile is surprised.
- Now that it's come to this, it can't be helped. Though, if possible, she would've preferred not to be the one to do it, but even if it meant making herself the target of that 'shinigami's' revenge, it was inevitable.
- Cecile threatens them not to move, waving the mask.
- Lulu, with all her strength goes for her neck.
- Cecile stops her, saying there's a barrier that if she is to be killed, will decipate causing an explosion and the mask will be destroyed, and also that she can get it to explode with her will alone.
- This was all a bluff, as her abilities didn't go so far, but Finia and Lulu are'nt privy to her abilities so it works.
- Seeing that Lulu is frozen in place, Cecile says to her "..Well then.. farewell...", before stabing her through the heart.
- She exclaims how tenacious beast-folk are, as Lulu grunts in pain without crumbling. ( the b**** actually moves the blade around while its lunged in)
- "Please don't let out that disgusting yelp, like some filthy wild mutt."
- Finia immediately starts charging for an attack, but Cecile seeing this, moves the blade, Lulu falls and Finia hurries to her side to apply magic, but Lulu's lifeforce is fading faster than her wound is closing.
- [ A lot about Lulu's thoughts as her lifeforce fades, her gratitude (and feelings) towards Foxx and so on....]
- As she falls into the abyss, Foxx's voice calls her back as he declares he won't let her, or Finia die...

Ouch, I was mad when she predictably tried to double-cross Fox, but that was truly merciless. That was a page straight out of the demon king's book. Now to bait Nagi into attacking him so he can time-stop out of the way and force him to stab Cecil for us. That would be suitable. All-round breaking points without ever lifting a hand directly. Although he can probably erase her curse easily with his specific skill.
