Got an announcement for new Cast members:
- Kengo Kawashini as Tori - Yuko Kaida as Sarariya - Youhei Tadano as Regan (replacing the late Keiji Fujiwara) Source. I find it odd that on the English Anime news media that there's no mention/announcement of Log Horizon's new OP animation & song by BAND-MAID when they've already been revealed... You'd think something as big as those would be announced in the English Anime news media shortly after it comes out in Japan. But no, nothing. Yet, they made an announcement for new Cast members... Edited 12/14/2020: More cast members have been announced: - Shiori Izawa as Hua Diao - Yoko Soumi as Leaf Lotus Nymph Source. Twitter Announcement. I like Database as much as you guys. But I looked up the lyrics for both Different (the OP for Season 3) & Database; if you ask me, Different is a lot more fitting than Database for Season 3's OP.
Kobato from BAND-MAID herself even said that Different was specifically made for this season of Log Horizon: "For the lyrics, I read the original novel and wrote the words that are used in the anime as well, keeping in mind that they have a strong impact. I wanted the lyrics to be suitable for people who like the original novel, so I chose the words carefully." - Kobato (BAND-MAID). I was so prepared to hear DATABASE DATABASE and I was hoping until the end of the first episode to hear it again but it didn't happen.. oh well.
As for everything else, I didn't really like the animation to begin with but I think it's worse this season, but then again I watch this solely for the story so it's ok.

Aaaah, I've been waiting for this sooo loooong! So happy that this show is back!
And lots of politics, lots of character stuff, lots of those characters I've missed so much. Man, I'm happy Log Horizon is back. Even if the new opening song is ass. Gimme back my Database! Anyway, Rayneshia needs to get over her doormat syndrome, stat. At least she was able to call Akatsuki out on her dallying about in regards to Shiroe, hopefully that conversation starts some movement for both of them.
