I watched s1 all in 1 sitting back after the season it aired. It wasn't that remarkable for me all throughout, although I started wanting a continuation right after the last few scenes where it was shown what Ayanokoji really thinks of all these friends and classmates ... stepping stones

Then I saw the hype for s2, but it's been years and so I rewatched the entire s1 2 weeks ago to prepare.

They didn't waste time and got back into the action right from the get go, apart from a few seconds of fanservice in the pool I guess

To be honest I still don't fully understand the test rules in its entirety, but I'm sure Ayanokoji will do something amazing before the end of it.

As for the stuff about s1 not being a proper adaptation and changing things around, I kinda got curious and read ahead of this current arc and got spoiled about what will happen, all I can say is that this is going to be really really interesting since I never thought this series will go in that direction, other than that, there's also the thought at the back of my head that what everyone knows from the source material might not happen the way it's expected if they had switched and substituted characters and moved things around before in s1. I guess we'll just have to see.

Also I was intently watching the OP and the ED for hints of new characters, and there's this new girl from the ED with ribbons in her hair that hasn't been introduced yet, I guess this the "important character that will appear later on" that was hinted at in previous posts?

All in all this season is turning out to be more stacked that the last season and it's kinda exciting

I watched the first season and all that I remember is that it's basically just fanfiction because the director changed too much just to accomodate his waifu... that's already a big red flag going into this.

Volume 4. There were some things changed amd cut from the first season though so maybe you'll want to reread from the beginning.

I think hell has frozen over, because this is the only time I have thought the English VAs voices matched the characters better than the Japanese VAs.

Could have sworn I had read somewhere that someone suspected Karuizawa being the VIP. Either way, that was correct, and ofc Ayanokoji had just the plan to trick everyone into giving the wrong VIP, except Ichinose. Super nice as always, but clearly just as cunning as Ryuen and Ayanokoji. That moment with him in the dark room definitely felt eroge-ish at first .

I do wonder how Ryuen figured out Kushida was a VIP? Perhaps someone overheard her when she was speaking to Ayanokoji in the hallway before? Or perhaps did she give that information away on purpose?

I also say that I wish we got to see the actual "protection" Ayanokoji was supposed to be giving Karuizawa. Not that I care about Karuizawa all that much, but I do like seeing Ayanokoji lay down the law on people.

Ryuen is pretty annoying, but is cunning enough to make for a great antagonist. Ayanokoji was smart to divert all the reason for their successes onto Horikita, allowing him to move freely. Still hope he'll get the one-up on him, since his smug demeanor makes me want to punch the guy.

Well I was referring to him actually showing the footage to the girls themselves, but in hindsight I don't know what I was thinking about. Ayanokoji would never expose himself by doing something directly like that, I'm going to blame that line of thinking to being sleepy, don't mind me =03.

As clever as this series is, I'm still bothered by the "anything can be bought" mechanic. Feels like an emergency plot device key for the author.

^With the sports festival now, I wonder how the "buy anything with points" can be utilized. Only time I remember it wasn't used was in the island arc. They bought test points, had a fake CCTV installed, and then had the phone sims swapped using the point mechanic. Maybe swapping players during the event?

That redhead musclehead(can't bother to look up his name) has all the flags that he'll get injured before or during the sports festival. Because Class C is not gonna play fair as always.
And Ayanokoji is not only smart but strong. That white room he came from probably also trained/modified their body as well.

Man, if Kushida wasn't really a suspect before this episode to any viewer, its outright obvious she's a traitor in this one. I thought it was super weird for her to even bring Horikita into a trap like that, but maybe this was Ayanokoji's ultimate plan when he set the two of them up and had Horikita confront her. For a sec, I thought she was gonna bite into Ryuen's offer to pay 1m points, after thoughts about getting her brother involved popped up, but he surprisingly let it go. I found strange, since it clearly had her right where he wanted her, and she would have probably given in if he pushed a little, but his arrogance allowed her a chance to escape that fate.

Horikita is in fact useless and incredibly stupid as well. Why the series still focuses on her this much is baffling.

Ayanokouji has been trying to bring her up to speed and close up her weaknesses since the beginning, presumably as repayment for using her as the stand-in Class D mastermind.

But she continually makes the worst decisions imaginable, and never listens to his advice. All of the other girls are to some degree more interesting than Suzune has revealed herself to be. It's hard to root for an underdog when she seems determined to stay on the bottom.

I'm honestly not sure how much longer I will stick with this series.

Because Classroom of the Elite's own version of Mami is even less affable than Mami.
That being said Mami is also exactly what Kazuya deserves, so it might be similar for Kushida and Horikita

Not being capable and being useless are two different things and Ayanokouji actually using her a lot for his own agenda. She useful tool and good front for his actions.

She's the most boring of all the characters without question.
