In this case it's not that simple. It's not like it's fun that he's being unfaithful to his "love". It's just that his infidelity makes him so thoroughly and easily unlikable that it's hard to find any reason not to delight in his suffering. If it was a faithful man whose love's father was constantly interfering and nothing else, eventually at some level his obsessive, destructive vendetta against Peter would get old. Plenty of people would want the suffering to stop and him to get his deserved happy ending. If he was being raped over and over and nothing else, it'd be pretty darn gross. But since it's a guy who says his heart has always belonged to his senpai but ends up jumping in the sack anytime a girl just shows him her boobs, he becomes a completely acceptable target and we can just enjoy as circumstances and his own flaws get him into more and more trouble.
I detest NTR (except for netori-gaeshi, the rare story where the hero finds a way to take his love back or his love chooses and finds a way to come back), and I find cheaters contemptible. But it's because I hate cheaters that I find it so enjoyable to watch one become a universal chew toy. That and, again, I find the creativity in CR's terminology to be very amusing. |

Checked some manga spoilers. I would have preferred Isorozoku Reviewers S2 but this one is also fine. At least they should show a couple of more relatable girls (though, the author has a strange view of female dwarves).

Our favorite cheating horndog, PETER GRILL, has returned to grace us with his various (sometimes forcibly) sexual misadventures !
The new Opening fits well with the series and showing off Peter's Harem as well as the other girls he'll probably be banging this season . Luviella has her own band of female knights? Neat . Only this show would have goblins be females in heat trying to forcibly bang every man in sight. It's hilarious, although I feel bad for the dudes . Oh wow, so the Alapcas sisters aren't the only members of Peter's Harem who can get in on the action! We've got Vegan dishing out magic and Piglette taking out all her frustations on male goblins out on anyone who comes her way. With a rock . Man, poor Antonios. He thinks about his girlfriend and then gets sexually assaulted by a bunch of female goblins...and then is left with only Piglette to console him that they won't tell Michie about it . So there was some kind of goblin purge prior to this incursion? It seems like Peter knew a goblin girl, Gobuko, who left him with harsh memories of what happened. And it seems like she grew up to become the lead Hobgoblin beauty . Of course the girls would interrupt the plot to get in some sexy time with Peter, although it was kind of satisfying seeing Peter blast them all into the sky to save Luvellia. And poor Tim gets a bunch of naked women landing on top of him . They're barely covering up the nipples at this point. What is even the point of the lights ? Oh hey, exposed cleavage and ripped skirt Luvelia! Nice sight . And in the goblin den we've got various men getting raped by goblins...and Luvellia still doesn't understand what sex is . I love how Peter made this big show of resisting the goblins but already showing his usual temptations when he thought the queen was hot. Too bad that's not happening . The new ED is a banger like the old one, although rather than all the girls in bed with Peter (which was brilliant) it's all of them in barely there dresses as they ascend to the sky with Peter .

I would say it's mostly the trends moving away (for a while) from the high-fanservice low maturity ecchi and splitting to both sides: lower fanservice and pushing the borders as far as not being R18 allows (if the judges sleep on their job). The most significant personality trait of Luvelia is, that she has absolutely no personality. She is the stereotypical "main heroine" type and is fairly boring. On the other hand, we have: Strong-willed older sister type (Lisa), a cheeky lively younger girl (Mimi), tsundere clumsy lolibaba (Vegan), and meek poor yandere (Piglette). With all that it's pretty hard to like that doormat more than the driven proactive tigresses (the race diversity also helps). |
