I wonder if that shot of the wolf-eared woman might just be the Pied Piper?
Ah, Pinya must be rescued! Time for the JSDF to fill the sky over the Capital with descending paratroopers!

I really feel bad for Pina this episode. For all she's fighting for her country and people, she's being treated like crap because of internal conflicts and manipulation from the outside. Zorzal also has became one of my least favorite characters with his recent role in the story now.
Seems like this also sets up for the final two episodes nicely. To the capital! I expect some heavy duty action soon. Exciting.

This episode was fine, shame Lelei didn't became master because of the overall crysis.
I really feel sad for Pina and how she ended up. After all her sacrifice for the state the state turn it's back on her. Politics knows no loyalty... But the last 2 minutes.... last 2 minutes are EPIC. Much win is to be presents in next episode, cannot wait for another battle like Alnus and Italica and the show will provide it again. |

It's like they're BEGGING the JSDF to come wreck their shit. Does the douchebag have some for of checklist he has to finish? Well... next episode is going to be a slaughter episode. As in I'll be doing some S rank laughing as the empire gets completely wrecked. Zolzal is the most punchable bad guy of the season. He literally has zero redeeming qualities. Bunny queen is a bitch, but at least she has a reason for being a bitch. Zolzal was just born under the asshole star, I guess.

"But they have 10,000 soldiers!"
"You realize we slaughtered hundreds of thousands of soldiers without breaking a sweat when we first arrived, right?" But seriously, kind of a let down of an episode. Itami's group acted like idiots by thinking there'd only be one attempt on Lelei's life (especially since it was technically already the second attempt in that area), and other than tossing Pina in prison there wasn't really any progression in that plot compared to last week. |

Very good episode, I was not expecting that particular assassin. Also, the reasoning from the assassin's perspective was understandable: I was afraid it was going to mind control or an amazing disguise, but it wasn't and I was relieved.
I liked that little snippet which showed Arpeggio really does care about Leilei. Tyuule! You're such a villain, I love you! Next week: a combined airborne and air assault drop! Hopefully Itami and crew can sneak into where they want to go amidst all the clamor and confusion.

Welcome to the life of slavery Pina. I hope you enjoy it seeing how all your life, your luxury has been provided by the conquered kingdoms and the peasants.
I wish they would put a bullet through Shandy's head because she is a bloody idiot. It is surely a good idea to tell an old knight to take on that group of people who killed a bloody fire dragon. One of them is a semi goddess for god sake.

Plus, the young Rose Knights are all Chuunibyous, or they wouldn't have enlisted. I don't necessarily agree with the reasoning that it makes them more easily manipulatable, but it was, shall we say, foreshadowing. On another note, I get why they don't have satellites, but wouldn't balloon substitutes be rather easy to make? Or would that be a problem because they wouldn't be standard equipment? Also, Pina chose a strange moment to break, I thought. I'd have guessed she'd either go down fighting the three stooges and have to be thrown into her cell unconscious, or maintained what dignity she could until she'd actually spent time in her cell. |

And like others said - original author didn't consider every possible thing when he rote the novels. |

Piņa's worst fear is being enslaved and raped. Tyuule a sex slave victim herself takes pleasure in imprisoning Piņa in the same dungeon she was in.
While what Zorzal did to Tyuule is terrible she shouldn't take it out on Piņa but all she can think of is revenge. |

Wait... Under the Oprichnina rules, they would arrest the families of those they believe to be traitors. By arresting Pina, wouldn't that therefore extend to the immediate arrest of Zorzal and the emperor, Molt?
I guess Pina does mean something to Itami. He is rushing in panic mode to the capital to rescue her. I knew he would find a reason to come to the capital and be the hero. As for Lelei, why would they not accept her as a Master? Yes, there are trouble brewing around her, but that is a separate thing from academics. Also, after this is resolved, do they immediately instate her as a Master, or would she have to go through this whole procedure again? I'm still waiting for Delilah to come in and deliver the finishing blow to Tyuule. As for previews

If I remember correctly in the second ep or so Itami and the other soldiers discussed the fact that they were given older weapons but more up to date transport materials, and they mulled over the possible reasons why that was so.
As for the issue of appointing Lelei a master or no, it was not too clear in terms of "good reasons", but I could easily imagine wanting to " lay low" in troubled times in a very general sense. Pina is not only the main go between and facilitator between the Empire and Japan, but she is royalty as well. All those definitely could make her a bit more important in the eyes of the JSDF proper in theory. But yeah...as others have said...Zorzal has had this coming to him for a long time. Infuriating people who can take out a fire dragon and who took out over 100,000 soldiers with less than 1/10th of that is just...crazy. But to be fair...I think that many of the senators and armed forces do not have first hand experience of Alnus Hill (or Italica for that matter). I wonder if they know about Rory as well? It seems the level of battle assessment experience is very poor, and the ones who do see first hand (whether by being in the battle or demonstrations of weaponry) have been killed, silenced or imprisoned. Yessiree Bob, it will be...ugly. But Zolzal definitely has it coming in my opinion.
