I think I've seen speculation that they might be going back and adapting some of the arcs they skipped over in the first cour, so that's part of the "restart."

That would be good with me, if so. I thought S1 did very well on the whole but it did skip one of my favorite arcs.

I enjoyed the first season, did read the manga afterwards and they did skip out on some arcs and one of them is very important going forward. Hopefully they do those arcs instead of going for a full reboot.
