In this episode, Maru and Kiruko face off cocaine bear. Hilarity ensues.

I liked the girl from the hotel. I thought she was a cockblocker but it's just the opposite. Her services ain't cheap though. Maru being able to "enter" her has interesting implications. She was born after the disaster so that might be related to that. Or maybe everyone is infected? We don't have a big enough sample. Kiruko should have taken one for the team and let him try on her.

I'd been misreading Tokio as a guy, so that surprised me.

It seems like there's been a timeskip in that part of the story. Tokio and that guy were only being flirty last episode, and now they're getting naked.

Maru and Kiruko might be facing monsters and wandering in the middle of nowhere but their stories are hilarious and wholesome. I almost felt Chainsaw Man memories when Maru jumped to the floor to pick a battery in exchange of coping a field. The author of the manga himself wrote in twitter that he made way too many erotic scenes but I guess it feels with the themes we are seeing and seinen demography

Now that you say it, the puzzle is being solved with this. Then again, Maru never got the chance to meet his parents but his idea of Heaven is kinda confusing.

Still, we have yet to learn the secret behind Maru's physical state. Even Kiruko pointed out he is ridiculously skilled when mentioning the batteries

I don't think it's much of a secret. He's the son of two people who were genetically enhanced. Kona and Tokio haven't displayed any special abilities but given the number of kids who did in the facility, it's obvious they're not normal humans either.

If it's not a spoiler I'd be interested in knowing what they are. I guess Kona can maybe see into the future since he drew the fish monster, and Tokio saw Asura who is dead but I assumed that was more of an Asura thing.

Yeah, Kona drawing bizarre things which we've seen to be real, and as for Tokio, she doesn't seem to show up on surveillance cameras.

The author commented about Totori seducing Maru in the anime and said that he found it more erotic there than in the manga.

Now that he says, I'm surprised by the amount of sex jokes this series has. Normally, I would find them annoying but there is something about the executions that make it lack amount of pervert nature. Like it is the core theme of the series such as genre, puberty and several types of relationships.

I'm so glad we got a whole episode devoted to Kiriko and Maru. I find their story much more interesting than the one at the facility.

Apparently the fish aren't radioactive or poisonous in some way. Lucky for our young couple!

I suspect those limb-eating things are real.
