Yet another Im Dalyoung manga

In the future, an energy source called "Life" has become incredibly important. Certain people are able to synchronize with devices called "Sai" which gives them the ability to extract "Life" and have super powers. These people are known as "Sai Takers." Within the "Sai Takers" there is an even smaller group, "Original Takers." "Original Takers" have a contract with a magical device, and they can manipulate "Life" without the use of a "Sai." These powerful people are also immortal, and they only die if they run out of "Life." The world admires "Sai Takers," but "Original Takers" are careful to keep their identities secret.

Nanase Kyouya is an ordinary teenage boy, who moved in with the girls Igarashi Kyouka and Yuma after the death of his parents. Yuma is a "Sai Taker," but Kyouka is an "Original Taker." One day, he goes with them to see a new model under testing of a magical device, based after Kyouka's. After a deadly terrorist attack, Kyouka desperately contracts Kyouya to the new device model to save his life. The device has some side effects, however, one of which is that it transforms Kyouya into a girl! Now Kyouya is secretly an "Original Taker", and he must go to the elite "Sai Taker" school, as a girl, with Yuma. Will he be able to keep enough "Life" to stay alive? Will he be able to navigate his life as a girl? What other side effects of this device lie in wait for him?

The setting is somewhat similar to Re:Birth - The Lunatic Taker, so I don't know whether this is supposed to be a spin-off, or a distant sequel.

Hmmm..... I think Im is making too many series.....

Still, I like his stories, as sometimes wacky and weak they are.

I want to cry. Another series when he already have a lot of others going on?

At least it shares the same world as in Rebirth (as its sequel). But there are a lot of other sereis that have absolutely nothing in common (world setting-wise) to this series.

It is a sequel to Re:Birth - The Lunatic Taker since Kyouka was a supporting character in that manga. Judging by the story of Sai:Taker, the existence of Takers are now common knowledge but are considered a threat to the public except those who work for the government. Since Re:Birth is still being scanlated, i'll think finish that first before reading Sai:Taker since i don't want to be spoil who survive after Re:Birth.

Wait is not this a stupid move from the author?I mean re:birth is still ongoin and he maka a sequal O_O

Uhh....next time, read carefully. I said Re:Birth is still being scanlated, not still be serialized. The former means it's being translated, the latter means it's still running. Then again, i thought almost everyone knew that Rebirth ended a year ago. Considering the scanlation has been slow, i can't blame you for thinking it was still ongoing.

Finally, some characters from part 1 return. The new psycho girl and her little sister are the 2 surviving kids that Nikaido Ran was taking care of in part 1.

She's no longer the cold, psychopath warrior as before but a clumsy, kind older sister. As for her adoptive siblings, I didn't know Mako was a girl in Rebirth lol. She seems so pitiful in her state. Also it looks like she got kicked out of the Nikaido group after it got merged with Life Inc.
