Ya, looks like an illustrator issue again.

And we should be seeing an image of Hydemary before the volume gets released. She'll likely be the cover girl.

I hope so, but if that was the case then why they didnt say that? So that we not keep getting impatient

Likely that:

- There were problems finding a new replacement for the last illustrator, Nekonabe Ao;

- Contractual/scheduling issues of Nekonabe-sensei might have made it difficult for Overlap to immediately ditch them in favour of a new illustrator

Vol 9 page is up on Overlap. No cover yet, but should be getting it in a couple weeks.

I know it's referring to the series as a whole, but I can't help but laugh at how the end of the synopsis says "isekai fantasy" when this entire volume takes place on Earth.

Technically the fantasy world girls are getting isekai'd to Earth.

I don't like the new llustrations for this novel. Hope the new artist will use the original art style back.

better than nothing. I'm just waiting for jn to translate the whole thing. and by the pace of fast they do it. I will probably be able to get it before christmas.

Sam has mentioned last year that he was debating making vol 9 take more parts since we've caught up.

No idea if that's still the case (we've waited a long time already).

Just don't expect it to be the usual 8 part release.

Hopefully he'll let us know.

How many episodes would be ideally needed to adapt 8 LN volumes without significant cuts to the novels?

The industry standards are usually 1-2 cour seasons; and unless it's a famous WSJ property, the creator is well-known, or the material is super-popular/nostalgic somehow the adaptation becomes very rushed.
