Before her guns were added, I was skeptical about whether JPN would welcome the USN, especially with the bad blood between the two countries. However, the EXPLOSION of Iowa fanart have shown that japanese fans, at least the fanartists, were willing to let it go and enjoy FREEDOM.

I don't think the majority of the Japanese players ever cared about this supposed bad blood in regard to Kancolle. Never thought they would in any way reject a USN kanmusu, frankly, I think this line of thought is quite overdramatising. Hell, if you have Chinese people happily playing/cosplaying Kancolle, why in the world would Japanese make a fuss about USN? Iowa is just another girl.
