11 episodes later and the NSC arc ends... I have to say this episode has to be the best one so far in terms of pacing and exposition. I found the presentation to my liking, but that hardly makes up for what I'd consider to be a subpar showing of the NSC arc. They had 11 episodes for TWO VOLUMES and that's the best they can do?
Well the episode itself gets a 7/10 while the arc as a whole is an optimistic 5/10. Oh well on to the Yokohama arc. Madhouse has improved over the past couple of episodes, but I seriously wonder how they're going to approach the lolinfodump. Oh who am I kidding! Bring on the Super Friends roflstomping everything! |

You know I was thinking and I believe was mentioned.
Touching Miyuki's cad = Rousing Tatsuya Trying to kill spectators = Rousing the JSDF. JSDF + Tatsuya = Giving Tatsuya the freedom to kill the 'insurance'. In a way, it was horribly stupid of the NHD to do both, because without both, nothing would've happened. And I'm still mad that Fujibashi looked like an assistant who does nothing.

Tatsuya is more of a Sherlock Holmes with super powers. He essentially can figure everything out with one look. As for gadgets, it is just that he can't use the gadgets he makes, but he loves making gadgets for others. In that sense, he can be Q from 007.

In my opinion their first priority was to win, in the worst case scenario is Saegusa(as the winner team leader) already prepared when it'll come to marriage, that's why she choose Tatsuya over other man. You know another posible solution is to let Miyuki marry Masaki, that make Tatsuya and Masaki brother in law right?

Too bad for him, if Morisaki knows that Tatsuya defeated Masaki from one of the Ten Master Clans when Tatsuya is not from the Ten Master Clans, I can just imagine his well being.
I wonder what action will Morisaki take in the next arc? Probably too much for him to handle and ends up worse because next arc is often more difficult than the previous arc. |

I just realized something. They are making a big deal out of Tatsuya defeating Masaki because no one outside the 10 Master Clans should be stronger. However, what about Miyuki? She overwhelmingly defeat her competitors, use high class A level spells, like the hellfire and blizzard spells, that is way beyond everyone else in the competition, yet they don't even discuss her. Further yet, Tatsuya and Miyuki are siblings, which then again should raise even further flags. They should very well figure out that these 2 belong to some really powerful blood lineage.
Btw, with the dance montage, it was funny how while Miyuki was only dancing with Masaki, during that time, Tatsuya managed to dance with 4 different girls. Either Miyuki spent too much time with Masaki, or Tatsuya really moves around quickly. Also, I had no idea there was any sort of interest from Eimi for Tatsuya. That felt like it came out of nowhere.

I think the key is that Tatsuya defeated someone who is the heir to one of the 10 Master Clans. Based on what we've been shown, only three members of the 10 Master Clans are involved in this year's Nine Schools Competition: Masaki, Juumonji and Mayumi, and Miyuki did not compete against Mayumi. Both Mari and Hattori are also shown to be very good at magic - Mari right alongside Juumonji and Mayumi - and very little fanfare has been made about their lineages. Perhaps they think that Miyuki and Tatsuya are similar to them? Given that people actually think Tatsuya has low magical aptitude - albeit used very well in combination with his physical skills - it seems far more likely that they'd assume a 'normal' lineage rather than a 10MC one, simply because they probably wouldn't think that someone who can't wield high levels of magic could be born to one of those families. ==== As for the dance, I don't think it's necessarily indicative of who's interested in Tatsuya. Think of it like the dances back in Victorian days (i.e. Jane Austen's era), where men would change partners every two dances. There was also scope for asking someone to dance for a second time, so that could account for us seeing Miyuki apparently still dancing with Masaki at the end -- perhaps they'd danced with other people whilst Tatsuya danced with Shizuku and Eimi before he asked her for another dance.
