I thought entrusting one of them with the loot was part of the quest. If there was an option to do it yourself or ask another NPC, Shiroe would have made a comment. Instead, all he could feel was sympathy for Tetra.

Oh, that makes sense. Although if it was part of the quest, I wonder why she wouldn't have known that the requirement was actually 13000 scales rather than the original 4000.

The whole power level leaving old NPC in the dust and the insane grinding for quests seemed to be taking a poke at WoW.

She's just the kind of player I could well imagine charging in blind into a huge grind quest like this.

Her avatar (and therefore her current body) is female, I think, not cross-dressing. She's male IRL.

Basically the reverse of what happened to Akatsuki at the beginning of the series, except Tetra is loving it.

I rewatched season two a few weeks back. In episode thirteen, Rudy and Touya wonder if Naotsugu knows Tetra is a boy. Touya even observes that it's "obvious." I thought they were reacting to the avatar, not their knowledge of the actual player behind the character.

Tetra is definitely male IRL, the avatar is a mystery though, although Tetra insists to be a girl.

Tetras avatar is female. The whole shtick is that he started feeling himself female more and more because he was trapped in this avatar for to long.

This episode actually was pretty heavy on romance (for this series) and the next one may be too.

And a good thing, too, because that had been quite missing so far in this season. It's also a part of the show, after all.

Well, more of a slice of life episode. I wish they wouldn't waste so much time on Minori's useless quest to romance Shiroe, when he obviously is already spoken for wit Akatsuki. But, oh, well.

It's even more painful to watch Minori be so completely blissfully oblivious about it. At least Rudy can see what is going on.

We're finally going to see the kid's go into further development through Raids.

Raids are not small or easy things to take on. And since these kids, particularly Minori, are at that stage of being Adventures, they'll have to start doing Raids on their own. Without the help from Raid Veterans like Shiroe & Naotsugu.

But first they have to start learning and preparing on how to do raids. Which is what we got out of this episode. But one thing for sure is that if I were to prepare for my first actual raid or learn about them, I sure do not want someone like Tetora to show me the ropes.

So yeah, it was a waste of an episode, right?

And one last thing; the Shibuya Raid at the end of season 2 was a terrible way of properly learning how Raids are done. The kids were part of it because it was an emergency, so the Raid team was hastily put together. But roughly 3/4 of the Shibuya Raid team comprised of Veteran players and Shiroe was in charge of it. The kids were there for needed assistance. Not an ideal way to learn about Raids.

Don’t forget that Akatsuki is there with? They do have some help with raids.

Akatsuki, but her own admission, doesn't have much experience with raids though. I think Minori will have to take matters into her own hands, as the OP implies.
