Its just been recorded on a screen. A better quality! need one!.
Can't wait for the start of it. I like better the style of toume in the manga and novel. But misaka is fine for me on both ways, Her tsunder aura is still radiating fine.

They both have their ups and downs. Anime Mikoto is a lot cuter than the manga, whereas the manga Mikoto looks a lot cooler than the anime.

Kanae Itou and Aki Toyosaki joining the main cast sounds like fun. I've been hearing a lot of those two lately, and their voices are pretty fun.

Yap its an anime or rather from the manga that's been adopt from the novel that centered on biribiri for biribiri fans. I wonder if touma will show up considering she always challenge him when she saw him.

Touma will show up, you can count on that. Nevermind that Touma's presence is an unchangeable and irrefutable influence on Mikoto's character and that he appears on several occasions in the manga to interact with Mikoto (many of which Index watchers/readers will recognize), there's no way they could get through the Accelerator arc without him appearing.

(this would actually mark one of the few times I've posted in the Index section, aside from the Index Megami scan I posted waaaaay back during the series, and maybe another post or two)

I gotta admit though....I personally would prefer that they move straight on to season 2, then season 3 (if needed, which is very likely) to finish the Index story, then move on to Railgun, for a few reasons; the foremost being that it would be nice to conclude one story before starting up a new one and leaving us waiting for a year or more, since they can't run both Index and Railgun series concurrently like the can run the Index novels, Index manga, and the Railgun manga all at once. The Index novels should easily be far enough ahead of the Index series so that there will be a novel conclusion before the series catches up with the novels. Besides, if we get a Mikoto ending in the Index series, the Mikoto fans (including myself ) will be more than glad to have waited so long for Railgun.

Well, if they bring us Index 2 immediately follwing Railgun, then I guess I could be happy with that, however I don't think that's likely to happen. It took this long after Index 1 to get us Railgun, so it's highely unlikely we'll get Index S2 right after this one. Plus JC Staff has Shana Season 3 coming up too, which I bet will be coming after Railgun anyway. So chances are we still have over a year before we get to see more Index series, and they'll still need at least another season after season 2. Unless they go with an original ending, of course. (not that the novels have ended mind you, but 17 novels into the series and they should be coming close to an ending soon)

Just because 17 novels have been released doesn't mean that the end is near. As far as we know, the series might end up having more then 50 novels.

About the Shana anime, it's just going to be an OVA series not a third season.

Yes, but they've stated that the OVA is in preperation for a proper 3rd season and I believe that planned 3rd season is what Shinji was referring to.

Yes I know it doesn't necessarily mean the end is coming, but seriously, 17 novels is a lot of material. Unless Index turns into some endless, random-arc series, it can't be that much longer. Barring the aforementioned endless random-arc turn, in the several years it will take for the Index anime to catch up to the novels, they should be at least close to a conclusion.

And what Tokkan said. They're making a Shana OAV, and a season 3.

It was probably mentioned before, but I couldn't help but notice...

Spoiler for Index OP2:

Never would have noticed back then, it was probably a cameo left to the Railgun fans.

The official website just reached its final form, becoming a little closer to Index's site in style. We also have an airdate.

10/2, thought it holds pretty much the same time slot Index did.
