Even if they succeeded, bringing those APVs and soldiers the first place it would have been fairly obvious who was responsible. That's not exactly the sense of a covert operation. Did I ever said covert=blitzkrieg? . Nope, I said Covert and Blitzkrieg. Covert as in camouflaging themselves to enter the country. They're succeed weren't they? To enter the country and caught the Japan by surprise that is. They even planned a second wave with the fleet without the JSDF notice. Seriously .. APVs? Pretty sure you can buy or steal APV anywhere. If you bring a freakin fleet of battleships from the start, how would you enter the country unnoticed?

Well yeah, but this again isn't particularly well planned if they want to operate in secrecy. Lu Gonghu seems pretty well known and his affiliation is fairly clear. Once he is spotted it's very obvious who is scheming there. All in all it sums up to what I call a badly planned operation.

Chen and Lu was sent first as scout to steal the relic though, so he's not with the main force. While it's true he is well known, I guess his strength is needed. It's not exactly a failure though, they did manage to smuggle their troops and walking tanks into Yokohama despite ends up defeated in the end.

I won't say it's not without flaw, their plan's flaw is in their mistake to measure the Japan's magicians force and response time, and of course Godtsuya. They planned it to be fast and surprising attack after all.

I agree. Zhou Gongjin likes to carry out in the shadows. If he fights back, Zhou is dead meat by Masaki.

That thing she shot at him was a solid chunk of carbon dioxide. When he tried to block it, she converted it to gas so that it passed by his hand and flowed into his lungs and poisoned him.

He requested that the GAA soldiers not enter China town.Therefore the fact that some entered means that they broke that agreement, and Zhou responded with force. It is, I think telling that he was able to capture all of the GAA soldiers that entered china town, and it looks like that they weren't gravely wounded in the process, which would take considerable skill, since while a few could be surprised, I doubt all the soldiers would have been captured completely by surprise. To have the ability to capture them all is more impressive than being able to kill them all.

For all we know he could have been able to kill masaki, but what would be the point? Even if he is powerful that would just tell the rest of the Japan military that Zhou is a danger, there seems to be no motivation for him to step in the limelight when he can be more dangerous in the shadows.

It was somewhat obvious that his actions don't quite line up with the GAA from the moment he pressed the riot alarm when Lu came to kill that girl in the hospital, instead of just letting it happen. What his motivations are, exactly, is not know by the end of this season.

Also, note that he was portrayed as a major player in the events of this last arc, yet he gets away completely free, with no suspicions. People may criticize Mahouka for weak or incompetent villains, but Zhou seems to be not weak or incompetent. He seems like he could actually be the first competent villain, and overall it is a good thing that he wasn't defeated in a single arc, as it allows the possibility of him being the first recurring villain if a season 2 airs.

Zhou doesn't fight directly that I've seen. He's a sneaky bastard who prefers keeping things at arm's length... someone else's arm's length, that is. I don't know if he has any combat power personally, but he certainly has resources and spies and connections and the like. Whether or not he could personally fight Masaki, I am certain it would be very dangerous to try attacking him on his own ground.

^ glad that someone notices Zhou. Yes, unlike many other series, Mahouka's "villains" who just charge via brute force ain't gonna make it. Instead, the one with great caution are the one that will leave a impact, aside from Zhou, there are also Elder Kudou and Maya. While I don't think they can win fighting head on with Tatsuya, they have things that Tatsuya does not: political power and influence, reputation and followers. If Tatsuya moved against them (at least for now), it would be disasterous for both him and Miyuki (which he clearly doesn't desire)

welp, so ends our adventures with Tatsuya Jesus. needless to say, the adaptation didn't really do the novels justice. just too much stuff left out. but that's the fault of the author who explains everything with a bazillion words.

hopefully we get a reminiscence OVA and a summer break OVA.

The OVA (Episode 27) for sure! , not sure about summer break as Honoka has been sidelined.

And for the other discussion about China Town

That ghostwalker guy told LG that he can't stop all of his soldiers and LG could do what he wanted with them. The real point of it all was that Masaki couldn't kill anyone else because he was too busy watching the soldiers. (Not that it mattered AT ALL in the Anime)

He needs to seriously quite Four Leaves Technology, build up his own mega corporation and bribe some politicians. Right now all he's doing is benefiting his enemies.

heh it's kinda funny how Miyuki was explaining the supposed downsides of His regrowth spell. The way He was spamming it looks like this downside is almost non-existent to One True Tatsuya so I'm not sure if that downside is supposed to make us more sympathetic for Him or just another reason to make One True Tatsuya look more badass.
