He's not really confusing, just need to remember that he has only 3 variants per side.

So the possible combinations he can have include:

Cyclone Joker (default form, Green/Black)
Cyclone Trigger (Green/Blue)
Cyclone Metal (Green/Silver)
Luna Joker (Gold/Black)
Luna Trigger (Gold/Blue)
Luna Metal (Gold/Silver)
Heat Joker (Red/Black)
Heat Trigger (Red/Blue)
Heat Metal (Red/Silver)

Basically he'll have a total of 9 different combinations.

While the color scheme might be similar, the reasons are very different. Kamen Rider W is dual-colored because he's a fusion of 2 people. Rx will look at his ugly mazda car, then look at the W's car...and suddenly, he will draw out his blade to cut through his car and get the AI out of his ugly car, puts it into W's car and drives it away
