I actually like the new art style quite a bit.

The old style is crispmand all, but some designs just scream (IMO) “I am so edgy”....I’m looking at ya Kokabiel and Katerea

Yeah. Speaking from an animation standpoint, the previous seasons were very still. I don't even want to talk about how bad the Great Red's appearance looked.

Also, Loki looked like a Yugioh villain.

Yeah, Fenrir's design was ugly as fuck and i wonder if the animator in season 3 read the LN, it was clearly stated that Tanin is a four legged dragon yet they went with humanoid drahon design. WTF!!!

I only pray that this new studio will do better for designing non human character like Gogmagog, Yulong, and Vritra

It's interesting that Rias and Tohka, who are the main heroines from the two current bestselling Fujimi Fantasia Bunko LN series, have birthdays just one day apart.

I just finished watching and it's near perfect. The looks of the characters i don't mind. It's not that big of a change. But Vali. They went all out on making him the most attractive. The female are going to nuts over him lol. The little tidbit of keeping him going juggernaut drive i liked.

In the real world i mean. And where did i hear that ? Go to the light novel section of this series here on the forum. And he is pretty attractive. You can't deny that. Now we just have to wait for Overdrive

Yes, I mean in the real world. I am on the light novel forum every day but I haven't see any females going nuts over him though. Yes, I realise that he is pretty attractive and I'm not denying that but like I said, never saw anyone posting about it.

It was posted here and there. That they go nuts over him in japan that's what i read once or twice. In any case the animation was pretty good. But i need to see more to make say for sure

Then that explains stuff. Glad that the Japanese people are liking the new art. Hopefully, DxD Hero sales will be alright. I want to see more DxD.

Episode 00 fighting scene was much better than its predecessor even though it shows only a glimpse of it.(animation and fluidity wise) So I would say that we can expect great stuff from Hero and Passione.

The bit where Vali goes a while after the juggernaut chant into the form itself was epic. But for now i'll wait to see the rest like the true longinus.

So far I'm cautiously optimistic. The animation fluidity has definitely gotten a serious upgrade and that is a plus given the upcoming battles

Yeah. It's much more fluid. But i'm afraid they might mess up Empireo Juggernaut Overdrive and Cardinal Crimson Promotion. Like from a design perspective.

It is with heavy heart that I decided to skip this season; I genuinely can’t bear to look at the new characters. People are saying to watch the first three episodes to give it a chance before deciding, but three seconds looking at those imposters and I quite literally dropped my tablet.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to watch all the previous seasons (including Born!) and go through dxd cards to restore their images in my head. Note: I genuinely hope future cards won’t be in this new (and dare I say, SHITE) style!
