Ooi GET! Well, I was hoping for Sendai, but hey, completing sister-ship sets is fine too!
Still hope to get Sendai though... Speaking of which, anyone know when the Musashi thing will begin? From what I heard about the Yamato event, only level 50 admirals with a ludicrous amount of resources and buckets were able to succeed, and it's VERY likely Musashi will be similar.

Some people see it as a unique way to learn the names of ships. here is a video on the Yamato-kai? fight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvIRZT_sLPQ Masashi is not in the game yet apparently |

We're kind of expecting an event, as a teaser image of a meganekko-Musashi has been posted on the official Twitter.
Thing is, if it's ANYTHING like the Yamato event from a month or so ago, only the highest-leveled admirals have a chance of getting her (ten-star difficulty on the FIRST STAGE of the event), as one account had a single guy play SEVEN HOURS STRAIGHT and burn through 500+ buckets to get her in one sitting.

I mean what other ships can be more powerful than the great Yamato? I don't know a thing about how the game works or whatever is this "event", but if they released Yamato, there will be little doubt they will release Musashi, and then Shinano |

You can go to the first page to see the basics.
By base stats alone, Yamato is likely the most powerful warship at level 1 you can ever get. The problem? She also has three times the resources required to maintain, even MORE than Nagato or Mutsu, and what's more, her repair times take also almost twice as long as Nagato. That said, she's voiced by Taketatsu Ayana so...

Still no Sendai, but hilariously I got Ooi twice now. Ugh, definitely the "hey you need it, I won't give it to you; when you don't need it, I'll give you extras!" habit of RNG.
Gotten Zuihou, so my light carrier forces are increasing. Still wish I could get Fast Battleship results on construction, as I'm forced to really work Yamashiro and Fuso for worlds 2-2 and onward.

Finally my efforts paid off after a month:
With her and Isuzu Kai 2 + Shimakaze/Yukikaze, I will have enough anti subs specialist for the event, assuming there are treacherous maps with subs, which is highly possible. That said, not having a Nagato class BB will seriously impair the possibility to break through flagship BB... and to think I finally got a AP shell...OTZ

I still can't beat 3-2. Which average level should all of my DDs get before going there? My best DD currently is Shimakaze, and that's it.
Guess I'll need to grind up Yudachi and Hibiki.

Having Shimakaze and Yukikaze help considering their stats. Yudachi is only good with Kai 2 so waiting for lvl 55 is a chore. It is worse for Shigure as it is lvl60 AND her best stats is actually AA, which you really don't need. Meanwhile, Bep takes an even longer time to grind, so unless you started for a while, focusing on Hibiki for her bep form is a bit overkill. Generally, you need at least Shimakaze or Yukikaze (preferably both) around lvl 30-40, with "bait" DD around lvl20 (preferably Kagerou class). You can also use the damage control tactics albeit it is overkill imho. The strategy: -Give up the moment you get on the south node. Because of the node before the boss fight, you can't afford a needless fight. You have to go to the east node. -The node before the boss will have a elite BB. Take the last formation for boosted avoidance, and pray that no one get critted. You cannot defeat that node unless you have a incredible crit festival. So just put all your chances to just fail that node, but keeping everyone in green for the boss node. -You have to go full force on the boss node, and that's very likely you will have to go in the night battle. For your instance, the shape of my fleet before night battle was like this. I did resort to gamble, hoping the enemy flagship would be critted.

The level for 3-2 seems to be anywhere from 35 to 70 in one case. Even then you still need a generous helping of luck. ^^;
NOT looking forward to it when I get to that stage. Still have to get past 2-4 though ahaha. It's why I'm focusing on a few select destroyers even this early (Shimakaze, Hibiki, Shigure, Yuudachi).

Turbine sure help, and having additional fire power equipment won't really help you since you deal most damage with torpedo phase and night battles, which already have good damage modifier right from the get go. Generally speaking, my important DD had the 10cm AA main gun, a quad oxygen torpedo, and a turbine. Don't put Shimakaze or Yukikaze as the flagship considering they are the DD that are the most likely to dodge, unless you really don't want any risk for one of them. Also I revise one statement: Yuudachi has a very good torpedo stats, but since she still require you to grind her to lvl55, it is really a tad too much. You definitely can do that without any of them, but you have much greater chance with any of the two because of their stats that are just that much better than the rest of the DD. Even Bep isn't really on par with these 2.

Random thought here, the fandom seems to take Ise's comment (in the 4koma) at face value about the Abyssal Fleet being the grudges of lost ships given form. This is interpreted of course as them being the sunk ships of careless (player) admirals, but if that's the case, why is it that they're using the English way of measuring their gun calibers?
Sounds suspicious, especially after recently watching documentaries of the Battle of Leyte Gulf. Why? Well, because the English mode of measurement was used by US ships (it's especially noticeable -- see Discovery's Battlefield, where every gun used by US ships are mentioned in inches, even the BOFORS used by the carriers, whereas the guns of the Yamato and the like are referred to via Metric measurements instead).
