This looks like ass atm, hopefully later pvs and the actual show change that opinion.... but Tomino is Larry Holmes status now.

Saw this on /m/. The eyes are changed a bit, but it's a good placeholder line art I think, till we get a good official one.

I can't help but feel that the head crest pieces will move into place and make a traditional V-fin.

My friend was right, the Fanbase is literally unpleaseable now.

Really? a 40 second PV is making people lose their minds? Just because of an unorthodox design? REALLY?

Please, the entire PV looked mediocre as shit. Not that it has any bearing on the quality of the final product but it certainly wasn't a pv to get me excited on its own merits.

Looking the lineart makes me wonder what Bandai would do about it when making a Gunpla version of the main character's Gundam? If that v-fin is movable, it's going to be swapping fins in both HG and MG format.

Back on the topic. Will Legendary Pictures involve on this project? I don't think it's possible judging from the initial staff and the PV alone.

Though Tomino has always say that his shows are made for kids... No matter how gory or violent they are.

Well, today's Japanese kids at least. Different value systems in different times might differ in what is for kids and what isn't.

Yeah, I believe him. G-Reco will be a series for kids...by Tomino’s standard (see Victory Gundam, among others

). Then again, broadcasting rules are much more restricting nowadays (this is prime time, right?), so I don't know whether or not Tomino will unleash hell like before, unless he got depressed (again) and went nuts with the story.

I haven't really been keeping up with Tomino... was his last real work the Zeta movies? If so, I think it's a distinct possibility that we'll be getting a more happy and peaceful Tomino this time instead of "kill-em-all" Tomino.

I mean, people are probably still going to die, but I don't think it'll be Victory level at least

.

Build Fighters, and maybe G, are like the only Gundam shows that I think fit my definition of a "kids show." And this is coming from someone who watched Wing and the original religiously as a kid

Eureka 7 was also meant for kids, if I remember correctly

Seriously, I don't see why people need to bring up Zeta and Victory when Tomino already made Turn A. (Were there a lot of deaths in Turn A? I honestly don't remember now, but it didn't seem a lot, no more than what is typical for a Gundam show.)
