Man, that symbolic image of birds clashing was kind of hilarious. Still, I'm surprised that Hyuga travelled so far to see the match.

I love how the same announcer is in every match. He must love his job.

Some announcers died doing that job IRL iirc

The Musashi vs Toho match felt a bit unfair in the end. Misugi nearly died causing Hyuga to stop running with the ball. Rather than interrupting the match for Misugi's health, the Musashi Team instead tried making a tie. In the end, Hyuga's old coach blames him for caring about Misugi. I am confused at this.

Kojiro's old coach yelled at him for becoming too soft, softer than when he was in elementary school. What really struck me was in the past two years, Misugi's health has made no real progress. I don't remember the original story, but in this new series, wasn't Misugi able to breakthrough his time limit during his elementary school days? And even if not, TWO whole years have progressed, so him not playing for that time and most likely seeing the doctor means he should be able to play longer than a mere 30 minutes by now.

Hyuga's training must be one of the craziest things Takahashi wrote

Man, Soda's tactics feel a bit weird considering he almost received a red card with so many tackles.

Still, I wonder if the Drive Shot will look like in the ending.

Guess the next episode starts the quarters. By the way, was that Wataru Hatano singing Moete Hero?

All 4 Semi Finalists have been announced. I don't remember the 4th team (they haven't shown any of their matches yet).

I’d forgotten how much the Shounen Jump moments ramp up as the kids get older. Main reason I never totally bought into this series despite its charms.

And the semifinals ended. Obviously, next episode will be a break to prepare but I wonder how Davids will handle Nankatsu vs. Toho. It is the longest match in the franchise's history.
