Why do you think that China doesn't have epidemiologists of their own doing that job?
And why do you think that the so called "international community" doesn't have some other political motivation?

And the talk about "short-term" and "long-term" is quite funny now, isn't it?
It's very clear now is China cares about "long-term" while the West does not.

Is China a brutal, oppressive government that's trying to coverup their screwup in containing the virus and likely downplaying extent of the pandemic in their country? Most definitely, yes.
Will further confirmation of this fact speed up the development and distribution of much needed tests, vaccines, and cures in the u.s? Unfortunately, no.

Yeah, "At least we're not as bad as evil China" seems to be the way some people cope with fact that their belief in American exceptionalism is failing.

American exceptionalism died with Nixon and Reagan becoming Presidents. It's even worse with this guy at the White House.

As for closing the topic of China, it is not surprising for other countries (Taiwan and Singapore confirmed; Hong Kong to some extent despite the old hag being there as Chief Executive) to show forms of distrust when one of the first cases has been traced as far back as November 17 and that there was a cover-up until it was recognized as a serious matter by late January/early February. TWO BLOODY MONTHS AND A HALF!

Two weeks ago, I saw people online bragging about how the u.s only had one death while other countries have had hundreds of deaths. Now they're bragging the u.s only has 50 deaths so far...

Speaking of American 'exceptionalism', "The firm said it was in contact with many organizations and authorities worldwide, but would not comment on speculation and rejected “allegations about offers for acquisition of the company or its technology.” ". It is only bad if America does it am I right?

It's true that America is exceptional but nothing lasts and a new overlord will take over. People will not complain anymore. I'm sure of that.

Why? It helps to know what happened at ground 0. So the community can figure out what the bloody hell of the virus we're dealing with. I mean if it just affects China, they can just deal with it themselves. Now what, it spreads all over the world. They knew it would. What happened in Wuhan remains a secret. What was the first version? Was there mutation? How many corpses did they cremate? What's the real death rate? WHO is bought by China and so they were doing PR for China all the while and now the world is running around like clueless fools.

So, we're not the greatest nation on earth, not the leading example of morals, rights, ethics, and justice?

The US is the greatest nation on Earth. You can return any item after purchase for a refund for any reason. Believe the hype. (Or so I heard.)

CureVac former CEO Daniel Menichella has been replaced. Considering the timing, it's probably because of the scandal

^ Wow that scandal is not helping pushing away the conspiracy theory that the US is behind the release of the virus as a form of biological weapon aimed at crippling adversarial nations.

About time. Seriously, what the hell was that for? Why is Trump not asking for vaccines from Russia while we're at it?

You aren't sincerely trying to debate the concept of exceptionalism and I'm not interested in gotcha games to, as you put it, 'use this to dismiss anything said again'.

Can confirm that Ren Zhiqang, the Chinese millionaire who criticized the response to Wuhan has been disappeared.

The general idea of american exceptionalism is that we are truly unique, an exception, superior from the rest of the world socially, morally, ethically, politically, and economically. Which i think is absolute bs. Because if we were truly exceptional, we would be the ones leading the best response to the coronavirus, not south korea or taiwan. We would have a president who would not require a market crash to scare him into seriously responding to the pandemic.

Apparently the guy is known as Cannon Ren, famous for his repeated critiques of the chinese govenrment, to the point where the government forced chinese social media sites to shut down his social media accounts. Hope he escaped, rather than the alternative...

Do you think the numbers support lasting acquired immunity to this disease (meaning whether are there widespread reinfections of recovered persons)? Or data is too noisy to tell?

That data is publicly available online for anyone to view. And the virus is literally everywhere globally, it's not like it's properties are hidden.

Since we're very likely to enter a recession tomorrow, do you think trump will become so desperate that he let's the Democrats implement a progressive agenda to save the nation and to save his own butt?

CDC got this essay published on Singapore's strategy when they took on the virus.
