What volume of the manga does the anime stop on? I want the volume (not just the chapter) because I am thinking of purchasing the Kodansha release for the kindle.

If you want to know what manga volume to start with after watching the anime, you would be starting at volume 8, which comes out at the end of October.

Yep. They changed enough that you really need to start with chapter 33. With chapter 32 would be better, but not absolutely necessary. Both of which are in volume 8, which should be having it's official US release at the end of October.

Also, why on earth did Kondansha USA rearrange Hanji's name from "Hange Zoe" to "Zoe Hange"?

Her official title is "Squad Leader." Mike doesn't have an official tittle, although he is considered the second strongest in the scouting legion. If you are not a manga reader, then the chances of being spoilt while visiting the wikia are, I'd say, roughly 70%.

I thought I was the only one! The only explanation I could think of is that the titan did lightning fast origami and unfolded the 3DMG blade container into that rectangle.

That's the scene where they were goofing off during the sparring practice. I assume they were acting like Titans and trying to devour each other.

The flashback where Eren's father injects him, when does it happen?
After titan attack? If yes, how come Mikasa does not know about it. I can't imagine her leaving Eren's side even for a second.
If before then why are they saying that Eren's mom is dead already?

That scene seriously confuses me @__@
