Seed is also extremely popular in Japan, even Destiny was really well received there though I suspect that's not included in the Seed category in that entry as it's a different season. I'm not a big fan of it personally but generally it's considered to be a good work.

Destiny never existed for them, probably.

But yeah, there's something with SEED that makes it an all-time great, must-watch show of the Gundam franchise.

It existed but unlike with how it was with the English fandom, it was fairly well received on their side, albeit not as well as Seed.

On the flipside, X wasn't well received over there like it was in English. To this day it's the only Gundam show that hasn't gotten a Blu Ray remaster even after many years have passed.

AGE is widely disliked by both fandoms though.

It's gonna be like the Zeta compilation movies isn't it? With a slightly different ending and slightly better combat animation.

No, it'll most likely end the same. Zeta is irregular as far as endings go for Special Edition compilations.

Yeah Tomino changed some things in both the Zeta Trilogy and one of those CGI OVAs that altered Char's Counterattack's subplot involving the younger cast. However, the former kind of ruined the canon of Double Zeta based on what happened to Kamille.

If I remember well, both SEED's and 00's compilation movies didn't change many major subplots.

IIRC SEED's Special Edition movies were about as mediocre as the original run, but Destiny's was well-received because it smoothed over some of its issues, particularly by cutting the overabundant recaps.
