People are speculating that Water Anchorage Demon might be HMS Hermes, likely because of that one tweet before the event.

PS: At least I know what to do after the event - level up the Italians, the Mogamin, Suzuya and Nachi.

no damage taken at node D and I
killed boss even w/ a red T-cross
all coz i changed ryuusei 601 to another reppuu lol

This event has given me a reprieve. Just did a third E-2 kill and found Akagi once again. The fruitless search has thus come to an end. I'll treasure her this time, RNG-sama!

Finally cleared E5. I beat the final boss first try. That was super lucky. Any tips for E6?

Sigh... My highest level CLs are only at lvl 22... Don't think I'll be able to finish E1 any time soon....

That and RNG demands Sendai to be taiha at the node right before the boss, even when I set her as my flagship she still gets attacked all the time....

So having gotten off yesterday's funk, I tried out E-3 despite my current situation. So far, it seems easy enough asides from trollsubs.

Also, finally met Miss Sonotedo aka CL Oni

I have Yamato as well so food is always well-stocked. Although I'm already imagining the scene from the anime regarding consumption...

Your choice between Surface and Carrier force entirely depend on your CV/L and BB. If you have a lot of strong BB, you may consider picking Surface fleet. Otherwise, a Carrier fleet might be a better choice. In the second case, I made Akagi and Kaga my mules loaded with the best fighters (repp and 601st group reppu here), then the others can be loaded with torpedo bombers and dive bombers. But I later found out I was more comfortable with Surface fleet (having Yamato, Nagamon and Mucchan here. However I heard someone did it with just the Kongou sisters tho).

However those who will bring the boss down will be the second fleet, so you better have your best CL, DD, CLT and FBB or CA/V with you. It should be okay since E6 dont have fleet lock. Dont ever pick the middle route. Fighting Anchorage Demon just suck ass. The other routes will force you to gamble in night battle node then you have the cockblock that is Evil Kaga.

Then the boss node is a matter of luck as well. I dont know your difficulty level, but at hard, I have Double Ne who were a pain in the ass with Ru and two DDs that my Yamato, Nagamon and Mucchan never seemed to be able to take down. Depending on your resources, you may consider using the support expeditions. I used the map support thrice before the final form. When I realized I hit the final form, I used both. So yeah, bring out your best girls and pray that RNG is nice to you.

It took me some time but finally E5 on hard mode cleared.

Used the following formation:
Fusou level 71, Akizuki level 75, Akagi level 84, Nagato level 77, Haruna level 83 and Kongou level 96

Used a support fleet too, this helped me a lot.

Welp, it turned out that it was a problem with the server. After I slept on it and tried to get back in early this evening, I was able to load the game just fine.

However, I pretty much lost a whole day, so any attempt at E-6 will have to be done tomorrow.

Will be spending some time to clear minimally E-5 by Sunday. Then it's back to little bit resource hoarding, and then gunning for E-6 before the event ends. I'm side-farming for Unryuu at the moment too.

Going past Anchorage is asking for a death wish due to AP shell with 20inch gun. (Take the quote below as a reference.)

Going for the BB hime at night battle is praying for RNG. (From my perspective.)

Fixed it for you Sheba (I think you heard it correctly. That is my setup for BBs for E-6 hard. (Hiei, Kirishima, Haruna, Nagamon at first fleet, and Kongou at escort fleet.)

I am praying really hard for RNG at Node M as Evil Kaga can one shot anyone (Even a BB) to red. (Exactly what happen at those 15/22 attempts, the ones that got boom to red is always my one or two of my Kongou sisters.)

^ When you mention BB Hime do you mean the one at the northern night battle node? She's pretty easy there. She either fails CI completely or she just crit one to orange and half the time chip damage thanks to her over the top firepower. I've never seen an instance where she red zoned anyone at night. If anything Anchorage on the middle route is a lot more threatening with her AP shell.
