Think you mean character design.

On that subject, the lead male looks crappy. Couldn't get a more generic and average look than this =/. At least the girls are okay. Still looking forward to this.

All Peach Pit do is the character design.. and you might want to look up what AIC (the studio doing this) has done in the last decade.. I'll take DEEN's catalogue of work in the last ten years over that easily. Rurouni Kenshin OVA's alone put AIC's work to shame, not to mention Read Or Die, Fruits Basket, Maria-sama ga Miteru serise and Shion no Ou.

AIC is responsible for Sora no Otoshimono, currently airing. It's one of the most visually stunning anime I've ever seen. The studio is practically throwing budget around.

I think this show's in good hands.

Seitokai no Ichizon would have been much better if it wasn't handled by DEEN. AIC has shown promise but they don't have enough good works to back it up, let's hope they'll do a decent job.

Several points:

-AIC did make El-Hazard, one of the greatest anime of the 90's... but that was an original work, and this is an adaptation.

-Ryukishi has had a lot more involvement with his adaptations recently, so this should be relatively faithful.

-One good thing about not getting Deen for this is that the animation quality will actually be good.

Really looking forward to this.

DEEN's adaption of Umineko made me cringe at parts. Lazy backgrounds, even inconsistent breast size... same thing for Seitokai no Ichizon so I'm glad someone else is doing it, just anybody.

Faithful to one or two routes, the rest will get "butchered" (especially if this is one cour) but unlike Umineko (which doesn't have multiple routes) this isn't translated so it won't be too much of an issue... for now.

If you're basing this off Sora no Otoshimono than that's just silly, Nyan Koi!, Sasameki Koto, Asu no Yoichi! & Bamboo Blade are hardly anywhere near Sora no Otoshimono in animation quality. Sora no Otoshimono is an exception rather than the norm, besides I suspect Sora's high budget is due to Kadokawa more than anything else.

Then shouldn't we be worried of the financial support rather then the company?

It's the school uniform. I don't know how rare it is, but I've seen male sailor school uniforms as well.

He doesn't dress like that in the game, guess it's an anime thingy (or just a poster thing).

Yup, and he's voiced by Kobayashi Yuu (who also voices Satoshi and Kanon).

Not that I don't like her, but it's going to become strange hearing the same voice over and over for different characters all practically owned by the same creator.
