Shaky camera isn't bad but you need to have the right hands to do it correctly.

The Bourne movies, while I love those movies, were a little irritating on the eyes from time to time, especially on the big-screen.

It doesn't bother me with films like Blair Witch or Cloverfield since they're filmed from the perspective of the characters who are meant to be recording what you see. When it's an action film and two people start fighting, I want to clearly see them getting at it and not have to try and figure out if what I'm looking at is a fist/head/knee/lampshade. It just isn't effective.
