The Japanese titles of supposedly the first four episodes (as well as the English translation for the supposed episode 4) are up on Anime News Network's page for Negima!?. If the titles are indeed correct, and if my hunch is right then

Hey! There's a 20 sec. promo found here:
http://negima.yh.land.to/negima060927.html Let's see here. Trippy fisheye effects, weird-ass camera angles, character designs looking REALLY good, unexplainable dropping of pans. This is SO Akiyuki Shinbo's work! Definetely checking this one out. |

very rich coloring.... some serious ink'n'paint here.
Looking interesting -- at this point even if it is a re-interpretation of the Negi story it is likely to be pretty good.

One of those concerns that develop with the lack of information ... since this is being shifted to target a younger audience, will the Pactio kisses be "sincere" for lack of a better phrase? or will they be more of an "ewwww, he had to kiss a girl" bit of silliness?
The audience target shift ... I have to assume means new merchandising since the manga is teen+ targeted and the current merchandise isn't "toy" oriented. Bleh, time to divert myself, starting to over-speculate. SHAFT has a pretty good track record.

sounds lovely ... strays slightly offpath in terms of manga but nothing that kills anything ... starts pretty much with a slight marathon to the first action scene to catch the (younger) viewers ... oh well ... as long as they take a stab on the major stuff they flew by then i got no problems with it

It looks like the show is indeed getting right to the action that made it such a great manga title. As for me, I'm debating as to whether or not I should hold off watching this show until episode 4, since I sometimes hold off watching some shows until certain characters appear or events happens. Some examples of what I mean:
-Sailor Moon: although I don't mind the episodes where it's just Sailor Moon, I usually skip to when Sailor Mercury first appears; -Saber Marionette J: since she was the reason why I began watching this show in the first place, I skipped the first two episodes and began watching with the episode where Cherry first appears; -Inu-Yasha: after watching the first few episodes once, I now tend to skip ahead to when some of the other main heroes begin to show up (as they're far more interesting than Inu-Yasha and Kagome. In the case of Negima, the event that I'll possibly wait for before I begin watching the show, if SHAFT does decide to include it in the new series (which I'm sure it will, given the title for episode 4) is Spoiler:

Sounds interesting.. like mostly a similar story but told with a completely different set of camera positions, locations, and angles. Can't wait to see for myself.
