The Elf Premier thinks she's finally found someone who will choose her over Tachibana...right up until the guy proclaims his desire to leave his wife and kids for Tachibana and have more kids with her...and the Elf Premier challenges Tachibana to another beauty contest, even one that might lead to her getting sacrificed, just because she can't give up. And of course she still loses
 .That Squid God truly is a squid of culture, wanting to devour very specific cute girls  . Junichi Suwabe's trader character has Jinguuji and Tachibana's relationship pegged, but it seems like he has his own eyes set on Jinguuji as well. Jinguuji is surprisingly popular in this episode  .What's the one thing that could make the Premier and Jinguuji work together? Killing a giant squad. For Jinguuji, he just seems really into killing the squid and wants to find Tachibana, while the Premier wants payback for the village turning to Tachibana over her. And for a brief second the Premier seems like she's re-evaluating her opinion of Jinguuji right up until he tosses her into the sea and leaves her their for hours to draw out the squid. And unsurprisingly she gets eaten  .I guess if Tachibana has one thing going for her other than her looks, it's her absurdly high luck that lets her free herself and get her head ornament off so all the men go gaga over her. Of course that also has the unforeseen consequence of turning all the women and wives against her  .So Jinguuji gets weaker the farther he is from Tachibana, but just seeing her is enough for him to get his strength back as he drags the squid right out of the sea while smiling happily at her  . Wow! Pretty epic moment for the Premier! Once she got that knife she tore the squid apart and roasted it well! And then she confidently eats it in front of the people who once worshipped said squid. No wonder they wanted her to run their village, but she unsurprisingly wants nothing to do with it. Even when things are going well for her, they turn out to be a hassle  . Well, Jinguuji and Tachibana's relationship is back on track, but they're being monitored by Kalm and Vizzd who now know about Tachibana's weakness. I don't see that ending well  .

The sweet irony of the Premier saying something that tastes this good can't possibly be a God. I hope for her sake she never finds out what she ate back then.
Jinguji getting weaker when separated from Tachibana has interesting implications. The villains already found out about it and will no doubt waste no time exploiting that weakness.

The Premier is totally going to eat just about every supernatural creature in that world. Considering the demons seemed behind the squid I can't really say it was definitely a god. It could just have been a big demon squid. But either way I'm sure she hasn't eaten her last creature that's been called a god
.Honestly she's really turning into my favourite character in the show . She's had such unbelievable time. Part of me thinks she should just take the village head job. Definitely not appealing on certain levels considering the whole sacrifice thing. But hey she could take it easy for a bit there.The whole getting weaker with distance thing makes sense. He is Tachibana's weapon. So even if he's one with a great deal of independence it makes sense that he is tied to her in some way. I am curious about the specifics though. Is it just a distance thing? Depending on exactly how it works even a plan to just separate the two might not be entirely effective.

Maybe it is not only distance but also "emotional damage" meaning the whole eggplant comment and don't talk to me quip hit Jinguuji harder than expected and took a toll on his power. So it might not be distance but trust or intimacy which causes his power to stay strong or grow weaker.

Poor Tachibana has to learn the way of the wild when Jinguuji makes her kill a cute, adorable, rabbit to test how they level up, which seems to be when they're in close proximity to each other. Tachibana won't soon forget what she did though
.The trader, named Shen, ends up joining up with the duo and it's pretty chummy up until Jinguuji sees that Shen has assassin skills and it turns out he drugged them for his own purposes...which devolves into both Shen and Jinguuji shirtless and fighting each other, which surprisingly checks out . Jinguuji warns Tachibana away to protect her, and Tachibana doesn't want to leave Jinguuji, but then Shen tells Tachibana that she does nothing for him and Tachibana can't let that go because she values her cuteness too much so it turns into an even more hilarious beauty contest between Shen and Tachibana for Jinguuji's attention. It's bad enough he's drugged, but now he has to deal with a shirtless guy and his best pal about to strip to appeal to him .Turns out Shen just wanted to give Jinguuji a massage and relieve all the fatigue he's been feeling through the secret art of pressure points passed down from his family, although that doesn't really explain his assassination skills or what he's really after. And he also receives what appeared to be a wanted poster of Jinguuji and Tachibana with creepily realistic photos of them .The duo make their way to the capital and go to the temple of the Goddess of Love and Beauty, the Goddess that got them into this mess, to see if they can ascertain anything about where the Demon Lord is...and while Jinguuji is expecting a temple of debauchery and pool parties, we instead meet a beautiful, composed, nun who greets them warmly. Of course it's all just a cover for when she tells them they have to wear mini-swimsuits because that's the official garb of the church, meaning Jinguuji had the exact right idea the whole time .Nothing quite like a nun who will immediately strip into a sexy swimsuit to offer her robes up .Poor (lucky) Jinguuji getting to see Tachibana in that barely there swimwear .It's all fun and games until they see the mark of the Goddess on Tachibana and take it as a sign of Tachibana being a heathen disrespecting their Goddess rather than the Goddesses chosen champion, which devolves into a fight between Jinguuji and the swimsuit believers and ends amusingly with Jinguuji swinging around the swimsuit nun on his shoulders  .The battle resolves with a royal official coming in declaring Tachibana and Jinguuji are off limits as the chosen ones, so it looks like we're getting into some princess hijinks next episode . Even made the poses and everything to charm Jinguuji his way. xD Dayum, that nun swimsuit outfit, what a beautiful faith! I probably couldn't be part of it, being ugly is a sin after all... Loved how Jinguuji was ready to put the entire temple down just due poor rage. And Tachibana got the Schwarz treatment due his crest on his neck. Next week is princess week, woooot!!!

It's actually quite weird that Tachibana's charm doesn't work at all on Shen since Jinguji pointed it also affects women, just differently (protective instinct for Lucius and jealousy for the Premier and most other women). Shen however is completely indifferent. Quite the mysterious guy, level 52 with assassin skills. He did give Tachibana a laxative though, so maybe he was jealous.
We didn't really get to see Tachibana in the microbikini, but we saw the nun so it's okay. Quote:

So the entire continent is depicted as a woman? I wonder if there's something to that. Like is the world entirely built on top of a Goddess or humongous woman or something? Or is that a reference to the Goddesses being the world power
 ?So we properly meet Mouria who is basically Shen's boss and runs the espionage division of the kingdom, and she's quick to knock Shen out, but after finding out about the "love triangle" brewing between Tachibana, Jinguuji, and Shen, it seems like she might actually be kind of into that kind of stuff .Show Hayami...as a king wearing nothing but a white skirt...I guess I shouldn't really be surprised after the Exhibitionist Church, but then it turns out the prophecy is basically a song, sung by the king, that's basically the Goddess spouting in-character about the Hero and all the stuff going on, so help them and stop warring, pleez? It was utterly perfect in every way . Jinguuji dressed up all fancy! Tachibana in a fancy dress! They both looked stunning, but Tachibana looks so good that Jinguuji is imagining their entire future together as husband and wife . Jinguuji puts it plainly to Tachibana that he's barely restraining himself around her, but that sends Tachibana running away. These two childhood friends just can't be honest with each other about how they really feel .Not every day you stop a princess from committing suicide, and she just so happens to be Tachibana's type of woman (even though his real type is Jinguuji). Ygraine is the type of princess who is pretty much done with everything, but she's definitely quick to realize that Tachibana just wants praise and acknowledgement from Jinguuji, not that Tachibana will readily admit to it of course .Ygraine puts on the charm to get Tachibana and Jinguuji to take her with them on their journey, but of course Jinguuji is having none of that and puts her down quick, although she won't let it go. Tachibana takes it up with her father, the king, but that turns into a match of cutting each other down to size that Jinguuji completely misreads. These two, I swear .So part of the reason Tachibana is so interested in Ygraine is because after her mothers death by childbirth she's been so pampered and spoiled that she's never really gotten to live her own life or fulfill her own desires, which reminds Tachibana of Jinguuji, so just like with Jinguuji Tachibana wants to be there to help her...although she didn't count on being involved in a coup attempt to oust Ygraine's father  .Poor Mouria. Everyone saddles her with the job of taking care of the princess to justify her entire division existing and she goes in solo only to get captured .Looks like Schwa and Lucius are coming back next week! Awesome !
