It's worth the read, gets better with each book, and well worth the awards it's received, asato asato did an amazing job with this story. I wish the novels were longer But that's only because they are so good They are not very long, their very substantive and has one of the best love confessions I've read, a very balanced series can be dark and has action where there needs to be, so far there are 10 volumes out with the 11th vol coming out in 12/2021

I hope she gets well soon too. Is there a release date for it? This gives me more time to read vol 9, since I'm trying to get caught up, I'm only about 45% of the way through that vol in the midst of reading so many others and must admit that Lena's love confession in that vol makes shin's confession look like childs play I couldn't believe what I was reading I had to read that part 3 times It was so endearing and captivating I've read somewhere that vol 10 is supposed to be a compilation. Is there any new material in it?

Yes, there are some backstory forShin and some SS that was Japan exclusive before

Literally shaking with how the synopsis described this new volume. I always knew that the novel would have to return back to the biggest problem facing all the protagonist and that’s the republic. Their racist ideals and self centered thinking was always gonna prove a problem for everyone including the other countries and now I see it’s gonna come to a head in this novels volume. Leaving the republic as it was, was a mistake for the allied nations and now it looks like it’s about to bite them back hard.

I don't know about spoiling so much but the main takeaway from vol 11 is

-

Spoiler for novel:

Richard Died

-The Republic/ Magnolia is destroyed so they retreat, taking as many of its citizens as they can to Giad on foot

-Lena has a breakdown (which is why shin is holding a crying lena in the pic), saving them was her last duty to them as a solider and she wants nothing more to do with them nor her country and won't go back, because they haven't changed, Richard died saving them, she couldn't save everyone and she has nothing left there and it's destroyed

- No Face is Vaclave aka Lena's father

-We learn that Lenas uncle Karlstah killed himself, it was either that or vaclave was going to make him a legion, but he told vaclave about lena and that basically she was like him and will kill him

Can't wait to see how Lena react's when she finds out about him/ who he really is, and how she's gonna kill "No Face"
