The point was to have better protection against crap like this.

shit this sucks, i mean touma was in the top 5 before, he would have at least be ranked 4th place just losing to mikoto,accelerator,and misaki but at the end we got trolled in the votes but im atleast glad mikoto is catching up

Only stopping the multivoting methods but not resetting the pool isnot that good of an idea. Because the top fake voters got tons of votes in before being blocked, many times more than other characters. Although by the looks of it Mikoto may be able to actually catch up and got first back even against those odds but the rest of the poll would still be completely non representative of actual characters popularity....

touma mow ranked 20, i think he well catch up sooner or later(i just hope hes at least in 5th place).

It's because of the messed up poll, everyone would be busy spamming Mikoto to be Number one.

If Mikoto was safely Number One then people would be more secure in voting other characters.

Though the thing I can't understand. What entitle the poll or rather who are the characters one can vote with. Are the character in the novel included? or strictly manga and anime only? I haven't or didn't check the poll, except for the given result. I don't have much clue but the funny thing is Baba being in the higher ones in the poll result.
