You do know that there's a speculation thread for anime-only viewers right?

I'd imagine their titan bodies are somehow incomplete. But on the other hand, Eren's titan body has skin, and the Armored Titan has.... bone/other on top of his red muscle.

I have a couple suspect posts that are juuuuuust on the edge.

Still, the fact that there are no wounds/blood on Reiner after he escaped from the female titan's clutch, even though there initially were wounds and that he was apparently crushed (it's clearly shown in this episode), draws a huge hint about him, even without reading the future manga content and based on what we anime-only viewers already know.

But for the female titan, armored titan, and colossal titan, I have absolutely no idea.

EDIT: Though I'm not sure if it's actually the animators' oversight that they showed blood on Reiner's face when he cut through the female titan's hand but no blood when he went to rescue Armin...

^ Dammiiiiiiiiiiiit I wish I could comment but anything I say would either have to be a lie or a confirmation (which would totally be a spoiler). Sometimes I wish Shingeki were an original series...

Dude, don't think Titan power solves everything. Even if Reiner does have it he couldn't use it anyway in that situation. If he activates it then a titan would appear instead of himself right there.

Conclusion: Reiner being badass is not conclusive that he's a titan. If that's indeed true, then why didn't you say that both Mikasa or Levi are titans?

Also, doesn't getting wounded auto trigger titan transformation, if Reiner got crushed, wouldn't he automatically become a titan and not just regenerate?

That's a good point. But we only know that applies to Eren. We don't know if that actually applies to any other titans.

Also, remember how Eren's tooth grew back two episodes ago after the tooth was "forcefully" extracted by Levi (add to the fact that Eren was coughing blood and all), but Eren didn't turn into a titan? Yeah...

All I can say is that titan transformation is a gray area at the moment...

Well, what Rainer did was somewhat suspicious. It really looked like he was getting crushed and suddenly he explodes out of it with no major injuries.

Haha, Mikasa was largely missing this episode, so I guess showing her butt makes up for some of that.

Speaking of butts, we have gigantic nasty titan butts. Man that must be a crappy way to die if one were to deal with that. I'm impressed how they keep getting nastier looking as we progress and this time we have a strangely familiar looking Titan that is also incredibly smart. That can't be good.

And wtf with Reiner. Tbh I lol'd at that part.

Overall it was a nice episode, and Armin as a whole turned out a lot better than I would have expected.

The way that crawling deviant crawls... kinda reminds me of Ju-On: The Grudge.

So it must be definite nightmare fuel. Or at least nightmare fuel by proxy. XP

There is also the fact that his clothes is intact and fine as well. If she crushed him, I think his clothes would be torn a bit. As for the blood, titan blood evaporates fairly quickly, so it probably evaporated by the time he got to Armin.

I'm on the fence concerning what Reiner is. On the one hand, quite a few people made some strong arguments. Reiner does tend to stick with Annie a lot before. Something must have tipped off the Female Titan to head towards where Eren is. Originally, I thought she had some sense, like how titans appear to be attracted towards Eren to kill him. However, there is the fact that the Reiner was given information that Eren was in the right flank, and the Female Titan attacked the right flank first. I'm going to agree that he is an enemy, but I'm not sure if he is a titan.

That is the reason why I don't read manga for anime series that are showing or could potentially have future sequels (ok, well, in general, I don't read manga at all). It allows me to discuss anime, which I enjoy a lot. However, I hate spoilers with a passion, which does make it difficult to discuss with manga readers (it's usually easy to pick up details and piece things together from what they have to say or not say). I have strong faith that this series will get a sequel, so there will never be a need for me to read the manga.

Lots of formation strategies this time.
Things got pretty intense in that expedition beyond the wall.
Looks like this time other characters got a chance to shine.
Armin found himself a nice challenge..
Awesome episode this time with lots of action ^-^

Hey did they have plan if the commander attacked by titan? The formation would be broken...

So steam came out of Reiner's body, now this is interesting. And right before he landed on the ground, there were traces of blood over his face but it had completely disappeared.
Spoiler:

Poor potato girl getting chased by a titan right at the start.

Would be interesting to see that the biggest titan is Erens dad or sth like that. He just dissapeared before the attack and is still missing... where is he? And if he knew everything about titans and their experiments like changing humans into titans why no one else know it to tell in their schools or something like that? Why didnt he tell anyone? Or are they like hiding it from people?

And the main question should be... if the biggest titan is controlled by human then why they try to kill their own kind? Why he waits 5 years to attack again? he could make attacks every montch and destroy them if he just really want it... then why wait so long... what's he trying to achieve? Too many questions, not a single anwser from episodes... every episode is like 10 question more...

That was bloody amazing. The animation was top notch this week. It's clear now that the purpose of this operation was to draw out the enemies hiding within humanity's ranks using Eren as bait. They probably intend to capture the female titan alive, but that's going to be incredibly hard to do. This episode showcased how fearsome titans with intelligence are. Armin's assumption that only Levi and Mikasa stand a chance to take her down is probably correct. Perhaps numbers could do the trick too.
