The typo by Fox News is just utterly petty. If those were indeed sincere mistakes, then the network is just being unprofessional. Either way, it's stupid. Are there any other news networks that have made mistakes like this?

With regard to the matter at hand, this is good news indeed but it's by no means over. The 'war on terror' is still there, and the left and right of the US will most likely politicize this event. For now at least, the US can welcome this good news.

Well, Republicans haven't really got a majority candidate yet... Unless you count Trump?

Seems that he's already been buried at sea? If they're going to have autopsy videos or photographs, the point of this is a bit...

Preliminary polls stated that most of the Republican candidates from the '08 election would defeat him in the 2012 election if they were to run against him. One of the few that Obama actually beat was Palin, but only by 22 points.

I wouldn't expect to see a full on set of Republican candidates until late in the Summer, maybe even mid-Fall. But, never discount the ability of the Republican Party to lose an election. Usually for propping up one of their old warhorses when the people want something else.

Weird...I'll be old enough by the time of the election to run for President. having no political experiance I doubt I'd have even a slim chance at it...also I'd be eight years younger than the youngest elected President (Kennedy, age 43), and seven younger than the youngest President to take office (Teddy Roosevelt, age 42).

November 2012 is still a long way away. I'd say Obama will manage reelection, perhaps with a slimmer majority.

No republican candidate has come out with anything close to the amount of charisma Obama has, or even McCain.

If there was 1 thing Obama is good at, it's the election game. He'll always be the "hope and change" candidate.

But who is running against him?

What change? All that's happened is that the US economy has spiraled downward when he said that he would fix it quickly. People wanted to hear that over McCain's more practical, yet time-consuming plans. Now people are angry that nothing has gotten better under the Obama administration. I live in a very liberal area within California, and the support for Obama is drying up day by day.

@james, i disagree with you there. any president would have made the same call. he was just president at the time of. It could have happened during Bush's presidency, or it could have happened in 2013 with a new president.

also, here's a better version of the commandant's speech.

Who's the alternative?

Anyway, I'm well aware of the economic malaise that afflicts the US, and that will certainly count against him. But I don't feel it will benefit the republicans either. The democrats will argue that the republicans were in power in the 8 years leading up to the recession, so their economic policies are what are really at fault.

If some 3rd party candidate cropped up, I could see them doing very well, but no such candidate seems to exist at the moment.

It's actually possible to trace everything back to the housing bubble in America and the foreign investments in Thailand.

Malaysian media will say something like this tomorrow:

"Osama is dead, time for United States to make new enemy so they can bomb another country"

Sorry if I offended anyone especially the Americans but I just want to show how Malaysian media actually looks like.

Eh, if we don't fight an external enemy, we fight ourselves until one pisses us off.

Oh Faux news, you never cease to impress.

In regards to the news, I guess this is a good thing, but the problem is that this man's hatred still lives on in the rest of his followers as well as the mess my own country has created that will take ages to fix, if ever.

They said that they have his DNA so he's really dead , well i think or not... But something is weird. Why already buried at sea ?

Also the only photo that they show us is really weird (fake?)

http://www.noelshack.com/uploads/ima...4324071575.jpg

There are many other weird things but won't say more.

Edit : Seems like the photo was a fake done by someone , Fox news said it.

The Faux News "mistake" just goes to show you how much they hate Obama. Man, they wish the man dead? Why is this sham of a corporation allowed to continue?
