But this look more like a King episode with some Ryo mixed in it than a Ryo episode.

AoF and Fatal Fury are already not canon in the original KOF considering Ryo would have to be a lot older based on the events of AoF2 that involved a younger Geese Howard facing the Sakazakis.

Still, SNK did get lazy. They put Yuri in her karate outfit when in the original version she trained briefly between AoF1 and 2.

I figured they already had plans for a sequel, since the ending credits give away that Goenitz is going to show up, not to mention we've yet to see Iori outside of the opening. I just didn't expect them to have already planned that far ahead.

It looks like the next season could be a mix of KoF '95 and '96, which I'd be fine with because I'm not interested in Rugal as the main villain for two consecutive seasons. They might also have to include some Fatal Fury 2 in the mix because of Krauser, who was mentioned in one of the flashback picture dramas but has yet to be properly introduced.

I don't think Rugal will return as a villain cos he is already using Orochi's power. That was how Rugal fought in '95
