It's probably just a parallel intended for the bus situation earlier on in that many able magicians were able to act but did so poorly against the few that are able to in this situation and limited by their expertise.

A test is a test is a test. It's not about finding out how many of them could have stopped him, it's about seeing who among them is strong enough to recognize that situation in the first place. Sure, if he were actually intending to attack them it would have mattered. In a test, what matters is that a mere five of them were aware of the magic that had been cast.

Five people were identified as being powerful, highly important characters for this arc. One of the was Tatsuya, and another was certainly the ace student of that red-colored school.

So when do we get a highly-popular Chiba Erika discussion thread? As always, she managed to woo yet again with her fashion choices and her maid uniform. I pretty much watch Mahouka to see her outfits and antics at this point, because she's hands-down my favorite character in this show. It should be interesting to see how her family ties and the necessity of her presence plays out in this coming arc.

At any rate, it seems that it wasn't enough for Tatsuya to be growing a female harem. Apparently his sister is also growing a female harem of her own. I guess we found the perverted character among the females in this show. Someone commented that Miyuki isn't terribly pretty, and to a point I agree, but I can see why she would be perceived that way. Demeanor and attitude are part of it, and the impression I get of Miyuki is that she's like a beautiful ice sculpture. Her movements too, are more like a small series of poses, and not erratic or energetic like Erika's. I think she hits that ideal of being a 'lady' in the eyes of the characters. A statuesque and conservative beauty.

One last thing I want to say is that it's interesting to see that people are really catching on to the Shiba siblings and gleaning parts of their history. I was actually impressed that that was a specific detail that they gleaned, that the Shibas have killed before. Even more so, him being compared to military on top of having killed people before really sums up his history in what we know about him. If you toss in his design experience, that's all we really know of his past except for some vague comments about experiments and family ties.

I agree with Tatsuya and Ichijo Masaki, but I'm not sure on the rest. I'm pretty sure that Miyuki did not, since although she has a lot of magic power, she does not display the ability spot people that are unseen, like when the counselor Haruka was hiding in the bushes. Plus, it will also seem lopsidedly too much for First High if 4 of the 5 came from it. As for Miyumi and Jumonji, maybe, but I wouldn't be sure.

Also, I suspect that Mizuki would have also spotted the "magic trick", but she was conveniently hidden in the kitchen.

If I had to guess another person that is named so far, it probably is George from Third High, who is always beside Masaki.

Miyuki is supposed to be a 'perfect beauty'. The issue is just that it is difficult ro represent that visually.

I agree that she probably didn't catch the trick. She is so stupidly powerful that detect subtle magic is probably difficult.

Because she was naturally looking for it, she trusts he brother, but for something she wasn't look for would probably escape her notice. IMO.

She can only spot her brother's magic, because those other interfering magic sequences of the others suddenly vanished, she knows from the result that her brother removed them.

Cliffhanger seemed interesting and I feel like it's going to lead to something. Might I just think it's significant because of the ED starting in the background though.

She knew Tatsuya's "spell" was coming, because it was the logical thing to do. She had no reason to expect Kudou's silly games, and her answer to "what if I'd been carrying a bomb?" would be "my onii-sama would take care of it.". She doesn't need to be vigilant.

That was just Kirihara's assessment and it mostly pertained to Tatsuya. He said he didn't actually see Miyuki in action and only guessed that she was tougher than she seemed.

If I had to guess another person that is named so far, it probably is George from Third High, who is always beside Masaki.

Seeing through Kudou's magic trick didn't require any sort of magical ability. It only required keen observation skills.

She didn't spot it or detect it so much as simply deduced that it was his doing based on the result.

I think the animators really messed up in trying to explain the magic interference (Which was shown with 3 'shields' on the car.

What they should've done was shown Kanon's spell (Put a shield), shown Shizuku's (Another shield), and shown the boy's and then turned all 3 shields into a giant gordian knot. That way when 'someone' blew it away, it would made sense.

So far nothing has shown that Miyuki is not highly observant in fact a few things have pointed to her being rather observant. she also at the very least sits in on Tatsuya's training, if not also being trained as well, and one would think that low level misdirection would be a core part of ninja training. So I personally believe she is more then qualified to have spotted the trick.

Well that's your opinion based in Subjective Thought. Fact though; Tatsuya is the only one confirmed to have seen the trick, anyone else is speculation.
But as for my own opinion I'll disagree with yours.

I don't think he was looking at Miyuki in a lustful way. It looked more like he was interested in the her background or abilities. Maybe he knows Tatsuya. Could be a possibility based on the OP.
