The sad truth, though, is that sort of thing is probably very common - to the point where I'd bet a high % of women in the industry have dealt with shit on this level. What's unusual here is not what happened but that she went public with it.

Provides a different perspective on why the author doesn't like that director.

That's a mighty big leap, considering she probably had no direct involvement with what allegedly happened. Much more likely she simply didn't like what he did in terms of narrative choices.

One thing I can say for sure - if the Me Too movement ever hits Japan generally and anime specifically in a big way, the carnage is going to be massive. The degree of institutional sexism here even to this day is truly staggering.

Any chance of it resulting in more than a handful of insincere apologies with no true consequences?

Highly likely, unless Konishi's coming out resulted in an active movement from many of other victims to do the same with some support from some higher ups in the industry to blacklist the accused.

Hate to say this, but some sexually-offensive & reprehensible aspects at workplace that we often see in hentai do have some truth to it.

The video and the website also revealed the show's "1st season" subtitle, opening and ending theme song artists, and a new visual. Beverly is performing the opening theme song "Again!!," and Vickeblanka is performing the ending theme song "Lucky Ending."

If they're gonna adapt the whole manga they'll need more than two cours.

It looks great. The visuals are pretty and everybody looks and sounds straight from the manga .

That would make the most sense with the amount of material they have to cover. I guess, production-wise, that's more feasible these days then a straight four-cour.
