So it seems like Claire's friendship with John was genuine. She didn't really approach him with some ulterior motives, well assuming she's telling the truth.

John was so angry even in the past. He basically lived the life of a cripple, probably got bullied more than other low tiers because of his personality.

I hope we get more information on his ability in this flashback.

Yeah I'm a bit skeptical about that as well that's why I keep mentioning it.

Either Claire or the blonde guy is lying and they were both John's closest friends so sooner or later we'll probably have someone questioning him as well, to clear things up.

Interesting, there is contradiction between her story and Blonde boy part.

If Uru-chan is not planning to overwritten this then Claire story to Sera can be assume has BS in some part.
