Well Akeno is already as strong if not stronger than Rias. In the next volume, she will probably grow another set of wings which would make her Cadre level. I don't know how Irina can get stronger unless she to get another set of wings because I doubt she will get another sword and she's not a duel blade wielder like Xenovia.

Irina should have got Ame-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi in Volume 18 but that's just my opinion.

The girl who really need an upgrade is Ravel. If Issei will take more responsibility for the tactics and leadership of the team then Ravel could fight a bit more too. In the next volume against Shirone would be the perfect time for that.

And Irina should have got Incenerate Anthem in volume 19.

Then she would effectively surpass everyone who's not a Longinus possessor. There's a reason why Longinus are called god-killers. Not really a good fit.

So you're saying that Nereid Kyrie is not a good fit for Ingvild?

Just as any character in the story Longinus possessors are as powerful as Ishibumi wants them to be. Cao Cao who possesses a "weak human body" can move at insane speeds and fall from immense heights, hit the ground hard enough to create a crater and walk away as if nothing had happened, not to mention that he blocks extremely strong attacks with his spear and does not break his own arms in the process. Lint trained to be an exorcist for at least a few years, became a reincarnated angel with 6 wings, had a Longinus for the last 6 months and still had difficulties against a Kappa.

Anyway, just because Irina would have a Longinus does not mean she would be stronger than the other girls, and definitively not "surpass everyone who's not a Longinus possessor" (Seriously? Do you mean that Lint surpassed Kiba, Xenovia, Rose, Arthur, etc?). If Ishibumi developed Irina's powers just as he does with Lint she probably would still not be stronger than Xenovia with the sheath of Excalibur.

That's still no proof that sirzechs is HD level, ddraig even considered fenrir a monster, but in reality fenrir is far below HD level

Should have worded it better. She would have the potential to surpass them. You do realize that Longinus are basically the most powerful weapons in the series right and having one will give you the potential to eventually kill gods right?

Again giving her a Longinus? You would have to make her god-class eventually. You really can't downplay the power of a Longinus and make Irina like most of her peers.

"Eventually" yes. But that could take a long time if Ishibumi wanted to. Look at Xenovia, she has the fragments of Excalibur since volume 9 and 17 volumes after she still does not have full control over them, she has Durandal for years and still can not use all the power of the sword. And I do not understand your problem in some characters being stronger than the others, it is quite obvious that Xenovia and Ingvild will be able to kill gods in the future while girls like Elmen, Ravel, Kuroka, Akeno and Irina will be lucky if they reach Maou class.

Thinking about the claws of evil from another thread, I think it would be incredibly ironic, seeing as how several Longinus ( the weapons of god) are now in the hands of devils, if Irina and other angels got malebranches to power up.

I feel like Ishibumi just gave Incinerate Anthem to Lint as an way just to introduce a new character for Rias team, just to make Rias team stronger because of her gift to recruit strong people.

Well technically only 5 of the 18 Longinus are in the possession of devils. 4 if you don't count Sairaorg.

Again the power of a Longinus is being severely underestimated. I don't really think you can compare them to just a holy sword.

Again when was Durandal and Excalibur ever called god-slayers?

It's about how powerful Irina would be in the future after all her combat experience and training. It'll be nearly impossible to say she's equal in strength to the other girls as that would just be nerfing the power of the Longinus. You would effectively be making Irina a Transcendental being in the form of being an angel if she became the possessor of Incinerate Anthem.
