That is certainly a possibility. And who knows how much money they calculated lost by pirating, but in reverse, it was fan TL's that helped the series make it big here in the West.

As for how to top it? Going back to basics, small but impactful events. To me, that would be the looming conflict of a semi-treasonous Albedo. She is forming a hit-squad to kill any potential members of Ainz Ooal Gown and has permission to use Rubedo (did I spell that right?). Rubedo is supposedly the most powerful being in Nazarick and capable of destroying the tomb. I don't know how you can make the stakes any higher than a blinded by obsession traitor and an out of control weapon that could destroy your headquarters...

But who knows if that can even be covered at the same time as the elves, theocracy and platinum dragon rematch...

The irony is that the fan TL he was complaining about was the BD novel, which is almost certainly never getting officially translated and I'm not even sure is available to Westerners in Japanese either.

Except we already know no one from the guild is in the New World, so it'll end up as nothing, since Albedo and the rest would never actually betray Ainz.

It would be good if they would soon give news of the next volume, perhaps in this volume not only does the subject of the Elves be touched, perhaps they also speak of the Theocracy (they take advantage of the war that occurs between them or something like that).

If he decides to keep upping it a volume every so often because there is too much content, I can live with that. Maybe if we are lucky, we will get 20 volumes (I recall him saying 25 or so at AX years ago, but I can live with 20).

Okay, so Zesshi's real name is "Antilene Heran Fouche" and she was apparently Level 88. Potentially the most powerful New World being we've seen so far, but as a Godkin, her genetics from both sides of her bloodline connect her to Yggdrasil players, meaning she's really a product of the game.

Antilene's overconfidence more or less sealed the fate of the Slane Theocracy. Impressive that she injured Mare during their fight, but all it did was prompt him to go all-out, resulting in a one-sided beatdown. Seems like being tortured by Neuronist Painkill loosened her tongue, and thanks to that, Ainz knows who was behind Shalltear's brainwashing. Now he intends to demolish the theocracy and slaughter everyone there.

Spoiler for Half-Elf Godkin: Zesshi isn't insane, but rather starved for genuine relationships. Apparently her mother showed her no affection for obvious reasons, and her freakish strength has always been a deterrent whenever she interacts with somebody. The cardinals literally use her to beat humility into members of the Black Scripture who behave too arrogantly. This certainly explains Clementine's feelings towards her. People fear her and act subservient, meaning there's literally no one around she can speak normally with. That's why she desires to find a strong man who can be with her without that stigma, and help her produce a strong child. Unfortunately, I feel like Zesshi has a death flag hovering over her head. She's currently on collision course towards the Elf Kingdom, meaning an encounter with either Ainz or the Elf King.
