I also wouldn't say using a gif from a show made by a bunch of misogynistic pigs is a good idea for your anti sexualization of Satoko movement, I do understand your intention of using the gif though. Last edited by xPearse; 2014-10-09 at 19:21. |

GAINAX is mysogynistic? I guess I haven't seen a lot of their shows, but both Gunbuster and Evangelion are my favorite Mech anime, and I don't remember either having any mysogynistic themes.

Doddler:
"There aren't any plans to change Satoko's sprite." It comes as no surprise that MangaGamer isn’t planning to change Satoko's towel sprite, given that MangaGamer’s market is majority made up of pirates and perverts. All things considered, if they can apply small changes to Rena’s hat and Mion breasts; what’s stopping them with Satoko’s towel? It’s simple, they just don’t want to. Hopefully the upset fans can agree to disagree and leave it at that. There’s nothing that can be done about it. |

Welp.. rekt.
I'm sure they'll do some good fixes for the other sprites as well, and hopefully add bruises on Satoko's body, which would make the most sense. Hopefully they'll get all the sprites sorted out soon, and the game released before the end of this year. |

He feels the same way people here have already argued. He thinks that it wasn't really supposed to be a sexy scene, and the nudity wasn't meant to turn the reader on. Honestly, the sprite is a bit curvier than I would have liked, but it's not like it's actually doing something horrible. It's just a cartoon character- He's not killing, raping, or doing anything bad at all to any real people. He's not some dictator of a despotic 3rd World Country who's forcing people to worship him. He's not that bad of a person at all. Jiminy Christmas, you make him out to be evil, when there are real horrible killers and murderers out there, and he's just a programmer programming a video game.

Insulting Ryukishi (even as a joke that was terrible), and now Doddler simply for a fucking towel, I'm seriously beginning to think you're just a troll who like to fuck around using this shit as an excuse. Last edited by TheGuraGuraMan; 2014-10-10 at 02:01. |

This is when they leave the house. As you can see, it says the towel slipped off. Can you give me a screenshot after this scene which says that the towel is wrapped around her? Quote:

How about we talk about more optimistic things- Things we can all (probably) agree on. Has there been any news about that Science-Fiction When They Cry project? The stuff in Hou about Hanyuu and the gods possibly coming from space is probably set-up for that.

I haven't since the initial announcement, and there's nothing on the website or his Twitter... However, Hou was announced at the same time, and it came out, right on schedule, so I assume we'll hear more soon.
No, that's on-topic, I think.

I haven't read the Hou summaries, because I want to experience the events of the new arcs without being spoiled.
I don't mind you guys talking about it, though! I haven't heard of a Science-Fiction When They Cry project before, what's it about? Quote:
It's pretty much completely in Japanese aside from some text items, so I did some translating with Google Translate (lol) to roughly get the message behind the stories, and learned the Katakana and Hiragana for it as well. And yeah, it's on-topic. |
