I'd like to know some thoughts on this show. Odd questions to ask no doubt.

1. What do you find appealing about it?
2. Can you explain the plot in 2 sentences?

Well written characters, actual depth of the world, Raphtalia

A hero got summoned from our world to fantasy world, but everyone seem to hate him for some reason. Along with people that he has mutual trust with they journey through the land, fighting off so called "calamity waves".

1.) The setting, if not the characters. Magic system is a little lackluster but the crafting aspects appeal to the crafter in me as a fan of stories like Only Sense Online, Atelier Iris, etc.

2.) Wrongfully accused guy claws himself up from the lowest point, showcasing the beauty in the struggle for survival. More tolerable than the manga version.

Looks like the Rage Shield has evolved...which seems to feed even more on Naofumi's resentment and anger but also seems to be making him stronger

Wow, the queen doesn't mess around. Bows her head to Naofumi (likely begging his forgiveness for what he had to go through) and seemingly arrests her eldest daughter and husband for crimes against the State and putting them on the execution block (although I think that's an imagine spot on Naofumi's part)

Oh, also looks like Motoyasu is going to find out the "truth" about Myne. Maybe that'll finally let something sink into that thick head of his

I have to admit, after so many episodes of the king and Malty acting like mustache-twirling villains and screwing over Naofumi, having them be carted around like criminals and facing some consequences/comeuppance for their actions is pretty satisfying. Especially with Malty

Two reasons, actually - one of them being a particular redhead making accusations she full well knows people will react viscerally to.

If I recall correctly, the kingdom does have its crop of spooks, who seem to report to her as opposed to the king. Small wonder she's aware of said monarch's screwing around, but until now had even more pressing affairs to deal with.

Now that I think about it, though... has there ever been an isekai where the protagonist's path hews far closer to Jack Ryan or even John Clark than, say, Kirito or Bell...?

Looks like the Four Heroes still can't get along. At least it's not directed at Naofumi this time

Why is Raphtalia fighting a knight? Is it training? But she seems too fierce for it to just be a sparring session

Actually that looks like the guy who was complaining that only Naofumi's companions were allowed in, so I'm guessing not "knight" but rather "armored warrior companion". Would sort of fit with the heroes themselves fighting.
