Hehe I know, it was more a joke than anything I really doubt it myself, and I doubt any of the founding fathers were Assassins anyways.

Well, as I explained in my post (prior to the one above), there is a chance AC3 could take place in

Spoiler:

the US but also in France during the Terreur regime.

The French Revolution was seen in Great Britain as a Freemason (represented by the Jacobins, of which Robespierre was a member if my memory doesn't cheat me) attempt to seize control of the country and eradicate the notion of monarchy, and we've got a LOT of Freemasons in the American Founding Fathers.

Then we have the British who are fighting both the French and the Colonies for dominion...

Oh, I can easily see a three-sided battle for the next Assassin's Creed, should it ever concentrate on that slice of history...

Oh BTW the coordinates that appear at the end of the DLC are significant because they are from a town in New York that is called Turin (IIRC anyway). It doesn't sound special until you have played project legacy and know that

There is a piece of Eden called the Shroud of Turin. It heals the user from almost anything. Downside includes hearing a spectral voice and reliving ancestors memories(!) Giovanni Borgia lived through all of that.

I like that theory. It'll also be very interesting to see the American Revolution "first hand" so to speak. Perhaps the crater was the reult of someone abusing the power of the POE. While I really love Ezio's character as well and kinda sad to see the story moving away from him, I'm also gleeful to play as someone new in the war of independence. Some of the Truth Puzzles implied the POE was present during the revolution after all.

Also, it does seem like the French played a pretty important role in most of the AC games They were certainly big in the first game with Robert De Sable, and then in Brotherhood with Octavian de Valois. Wonder if your theory is true and we'll see another famous French figure

Yes, yes, she was. The story between them was really sad but heartwarming at the same time. It makes Ezio look much better and not the womanizer he appears to be in AC2. I would've liked Rosa to make an appearance as well tho tbh.

Meh, while I like Ezio, I was really hoping for something new at this point. Speaking of which, I found this link. Personally, I like the idea of Japan, especially if there's a chance to play alongside Sakamoto Ryoma (if not play Ryoma himself). The Bolshevik revolution is also to my liking as I've actually studied that part of history extensively, so seeing it first-hand would be nothing short of awesome

Atleast in Revelations we get to play as Altair and Desmond along with Ezio. Since this is the last Ezio game, I'm assuming the next game will be the true AC3.

Kaze and I were talking about it last night, and we've got a general idea of what the plot's gonna be about.

Spoiler for Altair's end of the story:

This side of the story will likely take place right after the events of AC Bloodlines for the PSP. For those who haven't played it, Bloodlines took place mostly in Cyprus, where the successor of Robert De Sable, Armand Bouchart, appeared to be shipping various goods and artifacts into an archive. It turns out, however, that Bouchart was shipping things out of Cyprus rather than in. What is likely going to happen in Revelations is that Altair followed the ships Bouchart (now dead) sent out into Constantinople.

There, Altair will face figures such as Philip of Swabia, Boniface of Montferrat and particularly, the Doge of Venezia at the time, Enrico Dandolo. Dandolo was infamous for his role in the Fourth Crusade which he, at age ninety and blind, redirected against the Byzantine Empire from reconquering the Holy Land, sacking Constantinople in the process. One can guess why he ransacked Constantinople (POE anyone?).

Click here to know more about what happened at the time and more about Enrico Dandolo and his involvement in the Fourth Crusade. Things to be noted is that Venice, and therefore Dandolo, played a major role in financing the Fourth Crusade. Needless to say it's a given therefore that he's involved with the Templars if not one himself. Dandolo agreed to go along with the crusade leaders' plan to place Alexius Angelus on the throne of the Byzantine Empire in return for Byzantine support of the crusade. This ultimately led to the conquest and sack of Constantinople on April 13, 1204, an event at which Dandolo was present and in which he played a directing role. The Catholic Crusaders then took permanent control of the Eastern Orthodox capital of Constantinople and established a Catholic state. He was also involved in the expedition against the Bulgarians, but died in 1205 and buried in Hagia Sophia, where another POE is most likely hidden, if it isn't another of the temples themselves.

Spoiler for Ezio's side of the story:

Shortly after Cesare was defeated in Viana, the good Sultan, ruler of Constantinople Bayezid II, was dethroned by his son, Selim I. Selim put his brothers and nephews to death upon his accession in order to eliminate potential pretenders to the throne. Very similar to Cesare when you think about it. Selim was also instrumental in expanding the Ottoman Empire's territory, establishing his rule in Egypt and a strong naval presence in the Red Sea, and later destroyed the Mamluk Sultanate first at the Battle of Marj Dabiq and then at the Battle of Ridanieh, which led to the annexation of Syria, Palestine and Egypt. According to some historians, Selim died of poisoning, so one can guess how Ezio is involved in this.

One other thing to note is that Selim's successor was Suleiman the Magnificent, and he was known as Turkey's greatest sultan. Similarly to the way the assassins placed Agostino Barbarigo as Doge of Venice in AC2, I'm willing to bet they did the same thing here, considering how vast the Ottoman Empire had become at the time, it held quite a huge chunk of the modern world (from Ezio's pov). One reason why Selim would be so forceful in his campaigns was perhaps because he was seeking a POE, not unlike Rodrigo and Cesare.

The game supposedly takes place before the Leonardo disappearance DLC in Brotherhood. But yeah, he is old. Then again, so was Mario, and Mario died pretty old himself and was still able to free run relatively well just days before. So really, it's either something to do with the bloodline of the assassins or they had a really good upbringing Al Mualim was also pretty old when he died. Tho his free running skills are unknown, he was still a good fighter all things considered.

I'm actually quite happy Ezio's playable as I really like how his character progressed through the last 2 games.

Well when you've been free running since you were 18 or so you would be quite healthy as well, also don't forget that Assassin's are better than normal humans because of the "We tried to join you to us through the blood, you hear the words, see the blue shimmers but you do not know" so they may have some god in them.
