Did transfusions exist back then? Because Lawrence will die from massive bloodloss, otherwise.

Hm, why not? I mean, he already saw her naked and wet.

Wet? We could assume "wet". Maybe next episode if this episode's preview really does go that way. But can't call it just yet.

Well, I'm referring to ep.2 when both are soaked because of the rain.
Didn't mean that ambigous.

True but im talking more of like a bath setting which can be infinitely different than just seeing her wet from the rain.

Horo's really good with acting as the cliche "the innocent maiden" behavior. "Ara....komarimasu..." *blush*
Lawrence was probably thinking "Psh...what a little faker."

Pretty funny how good Horo is at pulling off that act. Have to be pretty careful . Impressive though that she can put up that blush whenever she wants.

Though not certain those were his exact thoughts since he pulled in pretty close with the expression "back off, or die."Even if one knows she is acting she is just so good you'll react regardless.

Well I think Lawrenece knew she was faking but he's a typical guy^^ Women always use this ploy to get under the skin of a target male they may be upset with or want to tease and 9 times out of 10 the guy knows this but falls for it and acts this way none-the-less. Its the sad and yet funny trugh of life^^ The real sucker is Lawrences friend who thinks he may score lol

True a difference between not picking up on the trick or knowing that she's acting and reacting to it anyways. I'm sure Weiss will be fine though. Never knew he was being played so won't have to deal with the realization of that fact.

Personally one of the most enjoyable parts was with the apples. Horo pining for them, keeping Lawrence from getting any, then basking in victory after eating them all. Good times .

And the way it ended up helping him get a better price for the fur was awesome and made me laugh.

Ok, I'm officially won over by this show. It's unique AND smart. And the characters are so much fun.

It might not be terribly dramatic, but it is highly enjoyable and really clever as well. Aces.

I think Horo gets her revenge on Laurence for teasing her with the apples when she pretended to flirt. She's so clever it is great.

You know I was never into girls with cats, dogs, foxes, rabbits, bats, or any kind of mixture but Horo is just cute this episode. This show is starting to get more interesting, and I'm hoping it will continue to be as such. 9/10

I'm not sure it's that smart to con someone you want to trade with again, especially when he was already offering a good price, though.

Also, what do you think the scheme is, about that devaluating currency?

^ Wow, someone who agrees with me! I don't feel it's "smart" to trick a customer either. Somehow, I feel Horo got away with her salesmanship a little bit too lightly, but then again, that's not the point of the show really, so I think it's probably ok to let it slide. Furthermore, as someone else has pointed out, maybe the merchant will figure out how to scent furs in the future, to add value to the product. In which case, we can praise Horo for starting a new fashion trend.

As for the currency devaluation, I have my guesses, but I'll need more evidence before I can be certain. Besides, my guesses will probably not tally with how things actually turned out in the novel.
