I would like to state for the record that my comments in this thread have not been directed at people who like this show. Rather, it is my opinion that LordBrian of Triad fame is, indeed, a closet pedophile. While we're at it, I'm betting that Mr. AndrewLB_In_Aria_Suit and Enron_Halliburton are also, deep inside, closet pedophiles, merely trying to hide their fetishes for underage girls by pretending to like crap mecha anime.

That said, I personally don't think there's anything wrong with Futakoi. It's not a particularly DEEP show, but there really isn't much that puts it into sex offender territory other than the toothachingly cute character designs. And hey, apparently a lot of the fans of this show are female. Go figure.

I'd say that Uta-Kata rates higher on the "sex offender" scale, and even THAT show isn't TOO bad.

Futakoi is a simple story of a high school boy going home to his hometown and end up with a lot of female twins cloistering around him. It is based off a PS2 dating sim game. Even so, not all dating sims contain ecchi materials.

To reiterate, Futakoi is a very simple story. There are no complicating matters so far, in terms of plot or character developments. There is no blood, gore, sex nor nudity. Simply put, there is no implicit or explicit adult material at all so far.

You do not see the characters looking at each other with burning desire, puzzling themselves over breast sizes, camera angles hanging near peekaboo angles, steam covering up body parts, etc. You do not see such things at all.

What you see if you have watched it at all is simply boy wondering how nice it would be to have certain girls his age as girlfriends, and then seeing the experiences he goes through.

One can say this story is so simple and plain ( and hence possibly dull when they run out of new things to show, episode 4 seems to show that... ) that it is suitable and aimed for children ( though it is shown at late night slots ).

Hence it is amazing that there are people that go wandering crying out this show is for paedophiles. The way they say it against the facts of this show makes it believable that these people possibly believe that Barney and Sesame Street are paedophilic shows with young kids running around hugging and touching each other. To imagine such content where there is none serves more to illustrate who is the one with such a nature...

There are many types of people in this world. Some always go out of their way to bash anime because it can suggest something against their own morals and it reminds me of religious groups in a way.

Whatever anime futakoi is, even if it's deep, has gundams or other "cool" factors someone(or some people) will still be on a crusade about how children in various situations and plots are inappropriate.

I have already stated futakoi is dull and boring, but I can agree just because it has underage twins it doesn't mean anyone should not try an ep or two. The anime isn't trying to convey anything sexual. The twins and the male character isn't thinking of having hot sweaty kinky steamy jungle bathtub sex at any time during the series.

If people don't like it, they can turn it off and stop bitching instead of going around a forum and lecture us on how we should all follow their morals and values. It's almost the same thing I said in the nanoha thread.

Actually, I got this from /c/. 'Twas the only iconed avatar of suitable size I could easily find on my computer, and it was either this or Gay Spiderman.
